We turned up here yesterday for the second year in a row with our football team after an annual tournament in Dunoon and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating & patient with our kids. We were hoping to spend the evening in their lovely gardens like last year but sadly the weather had other ideas. Lovely place, stunning views and very nice staff.

User

The staff are exceptional. Carra was amazing, when talking to customers, when called them by name. Real customer service.

Dinner was great with a good selection for all courses. Breakfast was also superb. The waiting staff were very efficient.

The room was great, very tidy and smartly presented on arrival.

We needed help with something and Carra was right on it and sorted it out straight away.

Would highly recommend The Esplanade for a stay. Very reasonably priced as well.

User

The receptionist at check in on Friday evening was First Class, views from the Balcony were stunning.

I will gladly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

User

Spent 2 lovely nights at the Esplanade. Asked for room upgrade to superior twin and was allocated the most gorgeous ground floor room with a spectacular view. Staff were so polite, courteous & efficient, nothing was a problem. Food was excellent, large portions and piping hot. Thanks so much everyone at Esplanade I shall definitely return

User

I stayed Sat night 11th Sep I would recommend this for great value for single room at £39 The room 315 was very clean and comfy and breakfast was very good with friendly staff. Evening meal choice wasn't good so ate out instead.

User

Hotel was lovely. Staff went out their way to make you feel welcome. Food is so nice, bedrooms are nice and spacious and brill views out over the beach and water. Highly recommended. Outstanding customer service

User

User

Had a great 2 night stay with my husband a gift from my family for my 70th birthday room very

good and clean breakfast and evening meal perfect.

User

The hotel is nice in an oldfashioned way. Staff very friendly. Mind that the single rooms are horribly tiny. Its either you or your suitcase. With coaches in mainly from england and wales it doesnt feel like being in Scotland. Location on the seaside lovely!

User

Room was clean had B&B for 3 nights and 1 evening meal all of which were good all the staff are exceptional

User

Really enjoyed 2 night stay here food was really good waiting staff nice and friendly and always had a smile . hotel has lovely views although our room was a side view and house next door a mess.we could still see the sea . met some really nice people here and most we're people who have been returning for years, we will be back good deal .. my husband and myself enjoyed also not far to walk to the town

User

Although the hotel was ok we were not told when checking in we needed to book for an evening meal..... only found out when told by a very rude receptionist that at 6 o'clock they had sent the staff home! Well if guests are not told to book then how are we to know! You lost money because we had to go out... in the pouring rain... to eat at a rival hotel... your loss as we won't be returning.

User

This hotel badly needs an update. I only stayed one night thank God. Our room was pokey and small. Don't know when the windows were last cleaned. My main meal was horrible. Tagliatelle with cheese sauce. It was a gloomy mess. Tasted like cornflower wasn't mixed right. Had hardly any cheese. Utterly tasteless. Don't know how people could possibly give this hotel high marks. It doesn't deserve them.

User

Room was very cold and no heating in the bathroom. Set menu food was poor quality and service was rushed and unprofessional. Breakfast was ok.
