Do I even have to leave 1 star?
Worst car buying experience we have received, enough to put us off Ford as a brand. Huge discrepancies between their advertised mileage on vehicles on the business website and the actual mileage of vehicles, (over 4k in 1 instance). Salesman as good as admitted that a lot of mileage comes from staff 'borrowing' the cars. Very evasive on car descriptions when asked about things, continually changing topics to avoid answering direct questions. Tried to then push a higher priced car with more mileage on us despite having an identical car in stock with less miles priced lower! Don't get started on the overpriced scripted sales pitches afterwards for gap insurance and alloy wheel cover etc despite our protests at not requiring it. Now I get to fight for a deposit back as the card machine mysteriously developed a fault right at the refund point!
Avoid at all costs!

Zero and horrible customer services. Would never buy a car from here again. I selected a car from here which was OK itself but I had to call them 17 times. Each time some one took my number and said the one that i was looking for to speak will call me back shortly but NO CALL BACK FROM THEM AT ALL. After last time once I showed my unhappiness just told me they don,t have enough staff but to me their problem is something else.
My worst experience ever with a car dealership. I wish I had listened to others.

Would never buy a car from here. I went to look at a nice fiesta I seen on the website and it was advertised for £500 more in the forecourt when I asked the salesman about it he said the price must have changed earlier in the day but it had been this price for at least 3 days online. I should have left then but likes the car so proceeded. Went in with Malcolm and gave him my budget when they got back to me with finance quotes it was around £60 over my budget every month. It has taken over a week for my mum to get her deposit back despite phoning constantly they avoided her calls poor customer service. Glad I didn't go ahead with my purchase.

Alan was really good. Friendly, well informed, knew his job, wasn't pushy. He was also well turned out, took time to explain things, twice if needed. He also made a dam fine cup of coffee with chocolate biscuits and home made double biscuit to go along with it. Also look out for the Jimmy Carr look alike working there. One small point, one of the sales team made a blunder, and the manager tore into him about it in front of us, not very professional and highly embarrassing for the member of staff and totally unnecessary.

I have bought my first car from Evans Halshaw, even though I seen all the bad reviews I still went ahead. I couldn't be more happy with the service i got from Richard Gibbons. He was absolutely amazing, talked everything through with me and took the time to explain everything. He made sure I got accept for everything, he didn't even take long, all was done in less than a week. He was so lovely and kind. Even though when i went to pick up my car, he wasn't well. You couldn't tell as he was still lovely and made sure I was happy with everything and talked me through everything. Don't understand some of the bad recent bad reviews as I can't fault them one bit, everyone was great! Thanks again guys, will definitely be back

Not a good experience!
Found a car online and contacted EH by phone and advised by them that car still available, this being 17 December.
Took my £200 deposit instantly and advised by female member of staff that car would be moved and ready for viewing on Friday 23 December, this being her exact words!
Phoned back by Kirkcaldy about an hour later and male member of staff advised that car I had enquired about had been sold and no longer available.
Other similar cars available but at considerably higher prices.
Advised that £200 deposit (which had been taken instantly from my account when order made) would take 3-4 days to be refunded to my account, this being the week before Christmas!
Not surprisingly somewhat aggrieved at this and was also advised by Kirkcaldy staff that no way would car be brought up and ready by 23 December and that I shouldn't have been advised of this, as if this was my fault!
Phoned Kirkcaldy branch again 2 days later and advised that money not yet refunded and when I suggested that it may be better practice to take money when car physically delivered and able to be inspected, informed by 'Senior Sales Executive Zoe' that this was not how they did business.
Queried whether any compensation may be applicable, even as a gesture of goodwill, and Zoe advised that EH did not have any procedures in place to deal with this sort of problem!
I was of the opinion she wasn't interested and that I was just a bother and inconvenience to her and formed the opinion that maybe her customer relations needed to be looked at as she wasn't particularly sympathetic to my plight, especially given time of year and considering I hadn't done anything wrong.
Needless to say, I won't be recommending EH to anyone else in future as I found entire experience unprofessional, unpleasant and staff very unhelpful with no show whatsoever of any empathy towards me for the inconvenience caused to myself.
Money ultimately refunded on 21 December by which time I had made other arrangements re funds required for Christmas.

The car salesman I had was
Richard Gibbons, and his level of excellent customer service, was so good it was unbelievable.Nothing was to much bother for him, and his level of customer assurance and assistance was to be admired. Therefore I would recommend anyone thinking of buying a car at Evans Halshaw Kirkcaldy to ask for Richard Gibbons for an informative and honest meeting.

I read some of the reviews here and I am astonished at the criticisms I have read. As a family we bought three used cars over the last two years, and most recently last month. On every occasion we have been treated very well by Management and staff who have bent over backwards to accommodate us, and particularly well by Richy , Dale , Richard and Allan. Who are part of a new team who now run the used car department, superb guys, please keep up the good work !!! We our family consider us as Evans Halshaw customers, and we simply won't be going anywhere else. Thanks guys.

Great dealership, who have timelessly helped both my family and I purchase a vehicle. Salesman I dealt with Dale was exceptionally good with my move me closer order I placed, the business manager was also very informative and helped our buying experience again run smoothly, 6 cars we have bought since Jan, thanks guys!
