I use the Personal Training service because the timing of Fight Camp classes doesn't fit in with my childcare commitment. I rate the training highly. John is professional, personable and gives excellent motivation without any pointless macho shouting. I am no gym bunny and would much rather read a book than sweat it out in my trainers. But my sessions with John really push me to achieve greater fitness levels and increase my strength. After having my first child I really needed to lose some weight and managed to lose 2.5 stone through diet and exercise. I started training with John because I wanted to take my fitness further and have a focus to make sure I keep my weight down and maybe lose some of those stubborn flabby bits that are still hanging around. Each session lasts an hour and it is by far the best and most tiring work out I have ever tried. The feeling of completing one of these workouts is a real high. John makes you feel that you can exceed the limits you might have set for yourself. I would recommend personal training with John to anybody of any fitness level.

I can only commend the Fight Camp team for their professionalism, dedication, hard work and focus on making fight camp the experience it is.

When I started the camp my fitness and weight levels were not great. Although I'd continued to go to the gym and cycled regularly I'd lost the ability to push myself. That's where the team came in.

They're very clear when you first discuss and sign up. You really do have to commit yourself and there is no miracle cure; Hard work required. But in the environment they set up, where you work with other participants of the camp to encourage and motivate, combined with the support provided by the team you really can achieve significant results in the six weeks. Not only to your body weight and fat content (I lost over 8kg and 7% fat), but to your fitness levels too. The difference I find when playing football, running or cycling is incredible.

Finally, it's fun. The camaraderie you build up with the other participants and the team help make the experience what it is. Sign up, and I'll see you there!

Before starting Fight Camp, I did the usual gym routines. I went to classes and sometimes did my own workout. I considered myself to be pretty in shape when I started, but I was in for a surprise. Although the workouts are do-able for people of all abilities and fitness levels, the trainers really push you to do your personal best. They take the time to get to know you and your ability and make sure you're not slacking. Aside from having 4 extremely knowledgeable trainers, Fight Camp offers you a support network of all the other people doing it with you. At the end of 6 weeks, there was a noticeable difference in my fitness level and since my first one, I've done at least another 5. I've lost count now, but will continue to go back!
