Beware of unscrupulous, illegal operators!
When shopping around for minibus or coach hire quotations, you should treat with extreme caution the cheapest quotes you receive.
Unfortunately this industry is plagued by individuals who don't play by the rules. And your safety certainly is not a game. These 'companies' have not registered with the authorities and are therefore not monitored for things like vehicle maintenance or legal driving hour limits.
... A simple check would be to ask to see a copy of their Operator's Licence and insurance policy. If you don't see the words "for hire or reward" then don't risk it.
If it sounds too good to be true then it probably is.

Incredible work last night by our driver 'wee Andy' as he battled against the conditions to make a late night pickup from Manchester Airport. We couldn't just leave 16 passengers stranded so did all we could to bring them home. #goingtheextramile

Organise golf trips a year so used a few transport companies. This is the best by far. The service, vehicle and price can not be beaten. I'll definitely be using again.

Incredible service form start to finish. We hired Extra Mile Coaches for a hen weekend from Glasgow to Liverpool. The bus was stylish with comfortable seats and a great sound system. It set the perfect tone for a fun-filled weekend!Robert was in contact throughout - very accommodating with time changes, pick ups and extra stops. Nothing was a problem for them! Had an excellent experience with extra mile coaches, had a return trip to Liverpool from Glasgow. The coach was exactly on time for both pick ups. The driver Stevie was very attentive for any stop offs we required and a large trailer was included within the very very reasonable price i will definitely be booking with them again in the future. Roberts communication throughout the booking was second to none.

First of all..I would love to congratulate Robert Alexander Furman on eventually launching this page. My experience was over and above my expectations. I had a group of locals from the pub I work in going to Troon on a fishing trip. They left from Bellshill at around 6am and had arranged with the driver to pick them back up later that evening. As you can imagine they were a bit worse for wear. Bear in mind I had only booked 2 weeks before. Robert spent a bit of time on the phone with me and called me back shortly after with all the details. The guys said the driver was game for a laugh and done exceptionally well putting up with 12 drunken sailors for a gd few hours. I am also booking for a hen night and wedding party next july although Robert doesn't know yet. Thanks again Robert Alexander Furman x

Cant recommend Robert and Extra Mile Coaches enough, they did a fantastic service dropping off and picking up from Glasgow airport for 10 very hyper teenagers going on their first boys holiday. Absolutely brilliant service. We booked from Glasgow Airport to Aberdeen, and even though our flight was delayed by nearly 4 hours, our driver was very patient and helpful.

A big THANK YOU to Robert, who took my friends and me for a full day tour of distilleries in Mar-2015. Robert was very helpful with the organisation of our excursion, giving good advice on which distilleries to visit, being proactive and spending a lot of time to make a detailed planning for the whole day, and booking in advance all our visits. On the day of the excursion, he was very flexible, allowing us to change the planning, and suggesting good alternative options (we went to see a loch instead of a 4th distillery). No complaints to be made about the driving, many of us were able to sleep on the way. I would recommend booking with Extra Mile Coaches to anyone looking for a tour around Edinburgh.
