Interest from Fairlie Riggers customers/boat owners have for sometime requested that I organise winter classes on Rope-work including Splicing/Knots & maintenance etc.
If you are interested in participating, please leave your comments stating what you would like the course to cover.
I am contemplating at this time to run a course on either a Tuesday or Thursday night within my workshop in Fairlie Quay Marina from 6pm to 9pm.
... All necessary equipment will be provided including note books/pens/rope and cordage to work with. Tea/coffee will be served. There will be a small fee for Ben’s and my time . All feed back welcome.
Limited places will be available. Once I have feedback I can firm up dates and numbers etc. Course will run from late January to March.

Today’s mission taking Kentra from Largs marina to her winter storage in Fairlie Quay Marina. Absolutely cracking day for it sun was shining and everything went smoothly well done all involved.

Ok folks this is something we’re going to do every month a freebie give away. This month it’s a pick up/mooring junk 2x 4 1/2 mtr 18mm rope with soft eye one end spliced onto a 1mtr length of chain, suitable for a boat up to approximately 40+ ft. Would cost over £100. All you have to do is like my page and come into workshop and ask for the freebie, don’t ask me to keep it for you or save it etc it’s first come first served. Next month it will be something totally different, it may only be worth £5 or £10 it’s just whatever I pick up. Looking forward to seeing who pops in. Cheers
