This was a speculative pre-theatre booking. Wow what a find. The simple fresh ingredients were superbly slanted, very different and cooked to perfection. No wonder this place is rated no.8 restaurant in Glasgow. Would love to go back but fear all the 5* ratings will make it unbookable.

Perfect � Relaxed atmosphere, the food tastes as good as it looks with great combinations to waken up your taste buds, lush!

The Goats cheese Souffle is amazing as well as the Lentil soup.



The Partridge that I had for the first time was excellent, I would have had it again if it was on the menu the last time I was in but it wasn't.

So I had the Pork dish that was cooked to perfection.

Lovely stuff ���� really great flavours and would recommend highly!!

Lovely lunch on Saturday. Very friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. The desserts were fab.. the recommended chocolate orange mousse was delightful. We will definitely be back!

It was bloody good...



The mini ox-cheek pie along with the flat iron steak was damn tasty. The sound of loads of chatter among friends enjoying good food and each other's company made for a great atmosphere. Will certainly be back and will recommend to anyone who wants to (or doesn't) listen

Had an amazing lunch today. Salt baked beetroot and crowdie salad, pan fried coley on a bed of the most amazing Thai curry sauce and mashed sweet potatoes mmmm. Had a taste of the pumpkin and lentil soup and the ran dang beef curry mmmmm. Can't wait for a return visit �

Great place & amazing choice. Pigeon starter was a 1st , followed by a further 2 amazing dishes. Cozy bistro with a team who just know how to make your stay special.

Found this place by chance back in jan and it didn't disappoint. So again on my next visit to Glasgow I had to go back, this time with my hubby. A lovely little intimate restaurant with the most amazing food. Most definetly my favourite restaurant in Glasgow.

Fab meal prior to Nickleback gig ,nice touch was the waiter playing their tracks while we and many other fans dined . Amazing value for money and stunning presentation !

Never disappoints !

An impromptu overnight stay in Glasgow resulted in us using Google to find nearby restaurants. Fanny Trollope's was billed as being in the top 10 restaurants in Glasgow and it certainly lived up to that. Not only did they take a last minute booking, but kept the table for us when we called to say we were delayed. The restaurant is very small and intimate, it was a nice difference to all the chain restaurants. The food and service were second to none too. Highly recommended, and we'll certainly go back.

Amazing meal last night best had for ages ...ham hock bonbons, sole with white wine sauce..hubby had home made fish cake then sea bass. Great flavours...great wee place, lovely staff would definitely recommend best surprise was white Rioja my new favourite you don’t get it in many places at moment ���xx

Dissapointing...4 choice menu and one not available...!!! Madras chicken...just boiled with blubbery skin and sauce just tasted sweet... Not for me...wont be back...!!!

Well I may have liked it but they never gave me the chance.

Phoned on Monday to book a table for 5.30 on Tuesday. Ansaphone came on saying book online or leave a message. You can only book a table online for 7.30 onwards so I left a message asking for 5.30 - any problem please call me back and I gave my number nice and slow.

They didn't call so we rolled up 5.30 Tuesday: they've never heard of me and they couldn't fit us in. Explained the situation. Their excuse: they were closed all day Monday.

Pardon? They had all day Tuesday to play their messages and either take my booking or call me back.

Everyone else was full so we had to rush back to the hotel to eat before going on to the James Taylor gig. Funny thing is we were tempted to eat there in the first place but I said it wouldn't be fair not to turn up having booked a table!
