As well as being a Premier Qualified Personal Trainer I am also a qualified sports coach and a PE teacher with 12 years teaching experience. Therefore, I can deliver a plethora of sports specific conditioning program's whatever the clients needs. Furthermore, my experience allows me to develop suitable program's for all ages and abilities. As a youngster I was a very keen sportsman regularly taking part in a number of sports where I gained county and national representation. However, it was Athletics I excelled in gaining both Scottish Schools and full national representation for combined events (Decathlon) and pole vault. As an under 23 I trained with the Great Britain squad before sadly having to stop my career short due to injury. This time in my life provided me with a wealth of experience of training styles and methodologies. Furthermore, during my degree at Brunel university I studied Sport Science for 3 years as part of my course and gained valuable insight into the effects of exercise on the body, mind and variety of fitness testing methodologies. Through out my training and studies I have been fortunate to work with some of the best coaches and lecturers in the business. This has provided me with key knowledge into the development of strength and conditioning program's, kettlebell training, power development, functional exercise training, group training, agility, nutrition, weight management, running programs and endurance development. Currently I am involved in triathlon, running and cycling. I regularly compete in events of varying distances including half ironman distance events.
