Two Houses are now starting to emerge at West Park following the services installation, foundations and ground floor slabs. The houses are split level with one 700mm above the other and sit on the site of a former steading that had collapsed over time in the centre of West Park Farm. With good building weather, the frames are being built ready for the first floor trusses to be installed in a couple of weeks. The houses should be completed in the summer.
Hot off the press in today's Perthshire Advertiser.
The roads are now open and the 24 houses were handed over today at Cluny Crescent, Duntaylor Avenue and Hutchison Avenue (Duntuim Farm Development Phase 1) to Hillcrest Housing Team.
First phase of The Duntuim Development is complete. The 24 new properties are ready for occupation from early February. This phase of the development consists of a contemporary mix of 1, 2. 3 & 4 bedroom homes clad in varying colours of blue, silver, yellow and green. The houses have been built on a challenging hillside site and are now gleaming in the winter sunshine. Fearn Macpherson are delighted to have been involved with this project for Hillcrest Housing Association. The finished result is stunning.
Exciting x
Two New Streets and an extension to an existing one in Aberfeldy. Road signs up, street lights on, just need the snow to go and the remaining turf can be laid. The affordable housing work finishes this Friday with occupation in January.
It’s a big week for us, as we have been in our building for a year and we celebrate our 8 year anniversary! So we have redesigned our website, take a look. www.fearnmacpherson.com
Many thanks to Julie and Jose at Thebe Mor for everything to do with this.
Dundee Institute of Architects Awards dinner last night - our first time entered and two projects on the shortlists - Duntuim Phase 1 for "best housing group" and Trinity Gask for best "on the drawing board". Suited and booted - everyone's a winner!
Strone Steading, Newtonmore, Inverness-shire. Just revisited this H shaped house with integrated home offices and therapy rooms on decrofted land just above Newtonmore. Photos show how well this has bedded into the landscape in the past 3 years
Design skills being utilised to full potential today!
We are delighted that this Siberian larch clad, one and a half storey house is now complete at West Park, Aberfeldy. There are four bedrooms, one of which is at ground floor level, together with a garage, fabulous open plan lounge/kitchen & dining area with full length windows on three sides that flood the room with light and make the most of the beautiful scenery towards the North West. The finished result is a stunning self build project and we are delighted to be appointed to be working with the same clients on a further two houses on adjacent plots!
The new housing project at Duntuim is now well underway and for those who regularly walk round Urlar Road you will have been watching the daily progress that has been made. The Hillcrest Housing Association houses are almost complete with internal and external finishing in their final stages. This being phase 1. For the second phase, currently 6 of the 8 Bungalows/Villas are reserved and all are at different stages of construction. The benefit of reserving their propertie...s early has meant that the clients have had an input on the interiors, choosing kitchens, bathrooms & flooring to their own taste and requirements. The showhouse will be complete for viewing in December, there will be more information regarding this in coming weeks and it will be fitted out by Spirit-of-wood. If you want more information contact either Irvine Geddes Estate Agents on 01887 822722 or come into our office on Dunkeld Road, ABERFELDY.

We are very pleased to have received planning permission for this stepped and split level house with attached agricultural barn at Trinity Gask, near Crieff. The site slopes towards a waterfall and wooded area that will remain untouched and is surrounded by farmland and clear views extending to the Sma' Glen to the North - some 15 miles away. Construction should start in the New Year as a self build project for our client.
Fearn Macpherson welcomes Meghan Pearce to the team. Meghan has joined us from Strathclyde University where she is studying architecture. She will enjoy a year of practical experience with us.
