The story of Fenfrog
Once upon a time there was a girl frog who kissed a boy frog and he turned into a prince. She married the prince and became a princess and went to live in a pretty white cottage in the Fens. The frog princess was like any other princess in that she loved pretty jewellery and began to make her own from a whole host of beautiful beads from many parts of the world.
Now the frog princess made so much jewellery she could not possible wear it all and the frog prince said she was not to make any more unless she could sell some to other princesses.
The princess duly started to sell her pretty jewellery to all her friends and they asked her what she would call her little shop, well there was only one name she could think of. . . . . . she was a frog princess who lived in the Fen and so Fenfrog was born.
Now the princess had a distant cousin who was a mermaid who was very unhappy because the sea where she lived was becoming rather cluttered with lots of bits of glass that the land dwellers had discarded over the years and she asked the frog princess if she had any thoughts on how to use up some of this glass because although it was cluttering up her home some of it was in fact rather pretty. The frog princess looked at the pretty glass which had been polished and shaped by the sea and wrapped pieces in wire with tiny pearls and beads and made lovely pendants to wear.
Time went by and the frog princess learnt how to make different sorts of jewellery and discovered resin and now makes lovely items like pendants with flowers from her garden embeded into the resin to keep them beautiful for all time.
