Just 40 minutes from Edinburgh and two minutes walk from Biggar High Street with its shops and restaurants, this quiet, cosy and comfortable cottage is a perfect retreat for couples and a great base for exploring a huge range of nearby attractions. This 19th century listed cottage was sympathetically restored in 2014 and retains all its original charm while providing every modern comfort. Tiny from the outside but amazingly spacious and light within, it is decorated, furnished and equipped to an excellent standard. It has been awarded Four Stars by Visit Scotland and top ratings on tripadvisor.

The sitting room is on ground level, with beamed ceiling, woodburning stove, a range of ambient lighting, comfortable seating and a 32" HD TV, Blu Ray DVD player (with free Netflix and BBC iplayer access) as well as a wide selection of books, magazines and DVDs.

Glass paned doors lead through to the spacious, light filled kitchen with solid oak cupboards, dining table and chairs, fully integrated appliances, high quality cooking equipment and overhead airer. Further glass doors lead from the kitchen to the conservatory and a glass back door to the small terrace area.

A staircase leads from the sitting room to the tranquil upstairs bedroom with its original beamed and coombed ceiling, view of the hills, king size bed, luxury bedding and dual control electric blanket. Next to the bedroom is the bathroom with bath and overhead shower.

There is free WiFi throughout the cottage. Prices include linen, towels, heating and hot water, fuel for the stove and basic supplies (including toilet paper, washing and cleaning products, tea, coffee, sugar, oil, salt etc).
