Dear Friends,
We would like to thank you very much for celebrating International Women’s Day together with us, and as the platform to launch International Women’s Forum. On International Women’s Day we brought together 140 women from over 20 different countries which was the largest gathering of women in Kirkcaldy for some time.
It was great to have you here and talk about Women’s passions, worries and achievements.
... We will strive through the International Women’s Forum to create an inclusive workplace, we spoke about Equality, Welfare rights, Children and Families and other positive aspects of Women’s lives.
You came with a lot of ideas and proposals like Family quality time groups, Craft Groups, Mental Help support Group. We also discussed how to promote strong and intelligent women into positions where they can grow their career. We also spoke at length about motherhood and limited time for personal development. We were keen to promote the value of working in partnership with the public sector and third sector charities.
We stand together in hope of change for those women with limited opportunities and those without voices around Fife and Scotland. It was a day that we called on all nations to make this a just and fairer world for women, girls, men and boys alike, for those women whose basic human rights are not protected.
So we thank you one and all for everything you have done to make the day a success, and we look forward to continuing in the future to do together in the months and years to come. Our next meeting will be on Saturday 27th April from 10 am at the International Centre Kirkcaldy.
We strongly believe that our passion for helping others and challenging inequality daily Fife we stand in solidarity and join in one voice for all women in Fife. “Inside of all of us is a Wonder Women’’.
Best Regards.
