We have recently let our property in Edinburgh and we are thoroughly impressed with the swift, professional help and advice that Fineholm have given. Kim has been just wonderful in organising everything for us and putting any fears I had to rest. She doesn't go through the motions, she does a lot of the thinking for us! I'm particularly grateful for the clear, detailed communication that I get from the company.

If I could give them 0 Stars I would. Awful company who employ awful people. We moved in and the place was a state. I moved the desk in one of the pictures and it collapsed on top of me. I informed them of this and they tried to blame me for damaging the property. Just one of the many shady dealings I have had with them. I even emailed the directors and they told me it had been professionally cleaned...

Also, there staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. On the inspection when we moved out the woman inspecting stated that the house smelt dirty(Even though we had it professionally cleaned) and made other stupid remarks due to her being a gremlin.

These photos and story's are only just a scratch on the surface. AVOID THIS COMPANY at all costs.

Very shady landlord. He tried to take money from our deposit without a good explanation, claiming that the flat was left in an unsatisfactory condition (B.S!). Later we found out that our deposit wasn't even protected by a deposit scheme, which raised suspicions as to whether our landlord was legit. It was only when we threatened to take legal action against our "landlord" did we get our full deposit back. I don't think I will use this agency again.

0 out of 10. Drove 2 hours for a viewing no one turned up or answered phone. Found out flat had been let. Sharp practice, abrupt staff, customer service definitely NOT their strong point. Don't waste your valuable time go elsewhere!!

Everything worked well, and service was very friendly and fair. Had a great time with Fine Holm and would use again!

My wife and I rented with Fineholm (Edinburgh branch) for one year. We mainly dealt with Maria and never had any issues. Always polite and quick to answer any queries. They gave us plenty of notice when needing to access the flat for visits or periodical checks. They send clear instructions as to what they expect you to do at the end of the tenancy (nothing unreasonable) and we got our full deposit back. Lots of bad reviews out there but our experience was only positive.

I would recommend to don't rent here, they are quick answering yes, but say good bye to your deposit.

Awful and mischievous people, If you are not in every detail of agency renting with the law in your hand and knowing what and how are you doing things I would not rent here.

In my experience, after cleaning the house deeply, windows and everything included they charged me £300 to pick up a thing I forgot ( and then I have been charged to clean a castle???)

Also they charged me £420 for extra things like items deseapeared... when they have been never there... (basically they have bought a new kitchen stuff by the face) If I know I would took everything that was there at least... cheeky bastards!!!.

You can do nothing when they did not proportionate a paper with all the items and then when you want to finish your penance agreement it seems that the paper exist???.

DON'T TRUST THEM at all.

One of the worst agencies I've had to deal with. Staff are not very polite, if you need anything done in your flat you would have to chase them endlessly for them to do something. Once I called to book an engineer, the lady in charge of that department was on her lunch, I was told I would get a call back, 45 mins go by I call them and I ask to the lady why she didn't call me back, she bluntly said ' I was on my lunch', no sorry, no apology, these people have that typical Agency mentality, its always the Agency vs the Tenants......when these people should be providing us CUSTOMER SERVICE, not ATTITUDE

Our experience renting a flat with Fineholm has been good so far, we found the staff to be approachable and helpful.

We called the agency on Monday, booked viewing on Wednesday at 2:30. My boyfriend and I were waiting there from 2:15 and was nobody there for more than half an hour, so we called the agency to ask what happened. They said that some agent sent a text in the morning that appointment is cancelled, but we didn't get any message, so they asked again for our phone number and then we were told that there was no appointment with anyone with such phone number and name. So decide if the appointment was cancelled or didn't even exist. After this day I'm not gonna rent any flat from Fineholm and I advise you guys to do same, don't waste your time

despite the fairly negative online reviews, I have found renting with fineholm to be quite reasonable. I have had numerous issues, ranging from fridge failures to leaks (from the roof) to vinyl floorboards warping. all of which have been quite diligently resolved by the contractors that they employ. also quite quick with responses whenever I emailed them.
I have certainly encountered much worse. I do not have moving out experience with them and do not know how they handle returning the deposit. but for now, they are doing a good job.
my only peeve is the mandatory inspections every few months. admittedly, I can understand that it is on the behalf of the landlord and they do provide notification weeks in advance.

DO NOT USE THIS LETTING AGENCY!!! Myself and my partner used Fineholm from September 2014 - November 2015, for the first 5 months they were OK to deal with, no problems at all, then the "6 monthly inspections" on the property which I had to agree to turned into every 4 weeks, then every 2 weeks then once a week, constantly wanting/needing access to the property with some really bizarre and downright stupid excuses, after a while I started to say they could not gain access as often as they wanted due to us both working long hours and not having time to keep the place as clean and tidy as they wanted, so one day one of the less intelligent members of staff decided to just let herself in without my permission, which I recently discovered was illegal, after i threatened legal action I was given a rather mundane apology, I complained about this several times and heard absolutely nothing again about it, ridiculous. I also finished work one day to come home to a for sale sign outside, I went online to see which flat in the block was for sale and low behold, it was ours, yes, Fineholm put up the property for sale and didn't even have the decency to tell us about it, then that's when the problems started, nearly everyday they wanted access, wanting the place constantly cleaned, emailing, phoning all the time, we started to look for a new place and found one quickly, which was just as well because they served us a notice which stated we had to be out 5 days before Christmas Day and you can forget about getting any deposit from them, they took nearly £500 off me for cleaning after it was already stated it was only £120 to clean the place, after myself, my girlfriend and several other people spent an entire day cleaning the place, they still demanded £500. To cut a long story short, glad to be gone from the place, I wouldn't even board a dog with them, money grabbing, thieving, low life people. Very dishonest. Stay away from Fineholm!
