Finlay Scotland are seeking someone with a proactive, fresh, professional and friendly approach to become part of a dedicated team at our Bothwell head office. Reporting to the Parts Manager you will have a direct influence on how our latest parts department will be implemented and run on a daily basis and be responsible for the everyday running along with customer enquiries. If any of the below sounds familiar then we want to hear from you.
Duties will include: • Provide out...standing customer service at every opportunity • Promote the Company and all its products and services • Replenish relevant stock and manage inventory stock levels of required parts • Build rapport with site customers and promote the company’s products and services • Produce quotations for parts required • Liaise regularly with the Parts Manager to update on progress and objectives • Report back to manufacturer any issues with components not achieving wear rate, ensure warranty claims are processed for components • Understand recommended service intervals and identify key parts that need to be stocked • Use telematics technology to utilise and communicate service information/generate sales • Be responsible for the organisation of parts and booking parts to relevant jobs • Raising purchase orders for parts with suppliers • Receiving orders in and storing goods appropriately • Reporting and escalating issues • Speaking with engineers to ensure that they have relevant materials and equipment to perform duties • Taking telephone enquiries for parts • Distributing parts nationwide and local • Operating the parts counter • Provide outstanding customer service at every opportunity • Assist in stock takes and administration • Assist in booking parts to workshop and prep jobs • To carry out any other duties required by the Parts Manager
The successful candidate will have / be:
Good general level of Education including English, Maths and IT Excellent communication, written and verbal Construction background desired but not essential as full training will be provided
The successful applicant will need to be flexible, determined and self-motivated. A technical background and experience of working within the construction/waste/quarry/agricultural or equivalent sectors is highly desirable. Applicants must have strong communication skills and the ability to engage and influence across all levels of the business.
