Foam based fire fighting systems require periodic testing to confirm they will work as expected if called upon. It is easy for this test to fail and failures quickly receive the attention of certifying authorities who may have the power to close the facility down. We train people to be able to perform a site test of their produced foam from fixed foam based fire fighting systems. We show sampling best practices so the samples are representative of what the system has generated, how to test the samples on site using our Produced Foam Test Kit and where to look for the easy system problems that can lead to failures. We also have a Produced Foam Testing app which is designed to support people undertaking produced foam testing and takes away the human error often seen in determining the foam concentration.
