Bringing West End quality theatre to the Borders and beyond.

Joint Artistic Directors Janet Coulson and Ellie Zeegen launched Firebrand in Nov 2010. Ellie, also Artistic Director of The Actors' Temple in London, spends half her time in the Borders and when Janet moved 10 minutes away, an artistic collaboration was a no-brainer. Since then we have mounted several productions which have toured to The Wynd, Melrose 'one of Britain's favourite small theatres' (Sunday Times, March 2011), The Maltings, Berwick Upon Tweed and Tower Mill, Heart of Hawick. Future plans include small scale tours which will visit venues in the Borders, Dumfries and Galloway and, for the first time The Tron, Glasgow and The Traverse, Edinburgh.
