Fireside Description
The Pitt and Paradise Palms present FIRESIDE a winter retreat in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town - running Friday 1st of December until Saturday 6th January.
FIRESIDE takes hold of the 4 unused arches on East Market Street and its large yard out front - furnishing the space with living christmas trees, real fires and curiosities alongside a varied entertainment program, great beer, mulled mixed drinks and street food from around the World.
Each of the four interconnected arches offers its own unique sanctuary from the outdoors - bar, danceteria, feasting hall and games room!
FIRESIDE promises a space to meet away from the commercial shopping crowds in an independent environment alongside friends and family. Roast a marshmallow round open fires, eat, drink, dance and play.

the pitt plays host to a screening of Nanook of the North with a spellbinding live score by Sink on Sunday 12th May at 18:30..
As a special precursor to the film, it will also be the public premiere of short documentary, Instruments in the Architecture: Building the Pianodrome.

Fireside and italoBLACK are very pleased to bring to you a Fringe special screening of the 'Italo Disco Legacy' documentary followed by an Italo party courtesy of Rimini's finest, DJ Benetti!
The film is a journey into the past and the future of Italo Disco music through the stories of the original 80's heroes and cult DJs, and a new generation of artists, producers and fans ready ...to carry on the Italo Disco Legacy. Featuring interviews with Fred Ventura, Rago & Farina, The Hacker, DJ Hell, Alexander Robotnick, Koto, Marcello Catalano, Daniele Baldelli, Beppe Loda, I-F, Intergalactic Gary, DJ Overdose, Black Devil Disco Club and many more, as well as incredible archive footage and music videos.
Film starts at 8.45, followed by a special Italo set from the legendary DJ Benetti until closing time. The entire event will be FREE. Get in early to secure a seat!

This is a fabulous hidden gem of a venue- it is spacious and funky and welcoming, it's free in, there's a fire outside (weather permitted), food, there's games! - table tennis, racing, pinball and more, and if you're lucky DJ Dolphin Boy is there playing his sweet sweet tunes!
Such an amazing place! Went there for the first time on Saturday night for Dolphinboy’s superb DJ set and totally blown away by the setting, the bar staff, everything is super relaxed and the height of cool. As a bonus, we had a game of table tennis and played space invaders on the arcade machines. New favourite place �
Stumbled across this gem. Brilliant concept, good choice of drinks, various food shacks, Buffalo Truck was amazing, pin ball, table tennis, axe throwing!! Staff, service couldn’t fault, family, dog friendly such a great place and a great atmosphere. Pity we’d to catch a train back to Aberdeen, would’ve stayed all day. Definitely go if visiting Edinburgh ����
Stumbled across this amazing place by pure accedent. Chatting with Ben(bartender) was great funny lad, wish we could have stayed longer.

Easy, relaxed, good food, music, fringe acts.
What more could you ask for, lounging round a fire � pit, what a way to enjoy an evening.
Awesome concept, rustic set up and varied food from a number of independents. Great way to spend an unique evening in the city centre.
