First Floors Glasgow

I moved home in December and was getting new flooring put in. I received excellent customer service from Andy who I felt went over and beyond to help make moving and getting jobs done that little bit easier. Options of flooring were discussed in detail along with clear breakdowns of the pricing and offers. Andy was very flexible assisting with measurements even taking the time outside of working hours to help at such a hectic time for me and kept in touch with me through developments making sure everything went smoothly. I am very happy with the service from first floors and will definitely use them again in the future!

First class service from the minute we stepped into First Floors to our floor being installed. The First Floor team explained all the different types of flooring in detail and helped us make the right choice. They let us take our time and borrow numerous samples to take back to our house so that we were able to make the right choice which was a massive help. The 2 men that laid the floor did a fantastic job, they were friendly, very tidy and worked hard over 2 days, communicating with us all the time as to how they were getting on. We are over the moon with our new floor. Thanks again to everyone for the superb service you provided. Andy & Susan.

From start to finish I was impressed with the service from this friendly company. Good communication and I felt valued as a customer. Big thanks to the floor fitters who worked really hard on a Sunday to fit my flooring. I am very happy with the final result! Thank you.

We travelled to this Company after reading its reviews,we thought the reviews would be as honest as possible.
We were assured by the owners of the shop a fitter would come out in few days to measure up and
arrange to go ahead with the work.

No fitter appeared,no contact from the fitter,no contact from the shop it’s now 2 weeks and still not a word.

Now here is my opinion,this is completely unacceptable ,this company let me down badly.
I am a Chronically Sick and Disabled man with Brain Injury,the effort I made to travel to their premises
and for First Floors to waste my time and effort by not contacting me is just deplorable.

Needless to say they have lost my custom from then and in future and my advice to them is give your
Customers a little respect especially Senior Citizens who are Disabled and brain injured.

First Floors insisted /requested I visited their showroom,this is what I did.
First Floors had an order,sale.
We the Customers provided all measurements but First Floors insisted that their fitter visit us to measure up.
We iagreed to that and waited from morning,noon,night, but you failed us badly.

Show your respect and apologise,tell the truth,and print reviews that show the real you.

We went to another supplier,that company was out measured up next Day.
Fitted and finished job within 4 days.
A Company that went beyond its normal to help 2 old Disabled Senior Citizens.
A 5 Star Job, 100% Customer focussed.

First Floors You should look at yourselves and question your customer services.
Alternately you might want to relaunch your business name from First Floor to Last Floor.

That would be perfect title for service I got.

In a busy and competitive world very often personal service becomes a sacrifice to time. Not with First Floors though. We have had three floors fitted using vinyl and the latest, the lounge floor in wood. From an initial helpful and friendly consultation we were given genuinely attentive service and good advice as to the best surface required for our purposes right down to a proper after care service.
An extensive hallway and kitchen dining area was completed beautifully within a day with very little disruption. The handsome lounge floor also only took a day, despite curves round the bay windows and other awkward shapes. The rooms have been completed with gold coloured 'noses' and depending on the decor a choice of white or oak skirting strapping.
Not normally given to enthuse, I was absolutely delighted with both jobs; most especially with the lounge....until....a day later I discovered that somehow the wooden floor had been scored quite badly. It probably happened when the furniture was restored into place. I was very distressed and asked David at First Floors if there was any way I could disguise a 20inch scratch over 5 planks. He didn't even hesitate. "Gemmo is doing a day of odds and ends on Monday. He'll call then if it suits."
To cut a long story short, we have a completely restored new floor courtesy of First Floors and their fine service.
My thanks go to all at First Floors singling out Gemmo, Andy, David and Patrick with whom we had most contact. Courteous, friendly and highly professional I would not hesitate to endorse this company and we will be using them again. Jane Zeitlin

Just had first floors at my home to fit laminate on all my floors. It was a pleasure dealing with this company.. from the initial consultation where sales man was a great help.wiith sizing and pricing..no hidden costs...fitters were both pleasant and proffesional nothing was a problem. Would highly recommend..

Fantastic experience with first floor , from my initial meeting with David through to the superb installation by Kenny this went so smoothly and i am absolutely delighted with the end result.

This is the third wooden floor i have put down , due to moving home a lot , and this was by far the best.

Highly recommended.

Had a Brintons berber loop carpet fitted in my extension which we use as a TV room. Lovely product and fitted by very professional fitters, who also took the old carpet away. Buying experience was great from start to finish as the salesman was very patient with my indecisiveness! Would have no hesitation using again especially as it was the best quote after visiting several other suppliers. I also thought the showroom was the nicest.

Failed to Respect the Customer

I visited their showroom on 13/01/17 and selected a product that I required to be fitted quickly. I was told I could be accommodated (by Director David) who also told me I would be visited on 16/01/17 for sizing and pricing etc. All good so far however 1 hour after the appointment they still had not arrived and had no attempt to call to explain delay. When I called them I was told they 'were busy' and it was inconvenient for them to honour their appointment. Also told they could no longer honour the timescale for fitting that they had indicated.!

Carpets fitted in new home in Giffnock. Quality of service and product has been exceptional from start to finish (as it has been on the numerous occasions we have used them over the years). Cannot recommend highly enough.

Visited First Floors in December and had a carpet fitted throughout my hallway and stairs. From start to finish I found the staff helpful, friendly and informative - there was an issue with the manufacturer getting the product I wanted but they managed to solve the issue and my carpet was fitted in time for Christmas by Stevie who was very professional and tidy. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will be using again in the future.

November 2016
We hired First Floors of Giffnock, Glasgow to install parquet flooring in a hallway. Cost was approximately £3400.00.

First issue was that a Director advised work would commence on a Monday at 9am. Nobody turned up so I called to query. The same Director advised, without apology, that they forgot to advise the client that job would not commence until the following Thursday.

Job proceeded without incident until the subcontractor, McLeod Flooring, had finished and departed about 7pm on Friday.

On inspection it was discovered that 7 out of 16 door frame blocks were not fixed properly and could be pulled off with one finger. At time of writing there is still one block not securely fixed that can be pulled off using one finger. McLeod Flooring have had two goes at securing this small piece of wood and it's still not secured properly.
Furthermore, the subcontractor, whilst cutting hardboard on top of a perfectly good carpet in a lounge, had cut right through to the carpet leaving a 21" slit in the carpet.

Director David Samuel/First Floors and Kenny McLeod/McLeod Flooring came out to inspect the poor joinery and damage the following week.
Their attitude was atrocious. No apology again. Arrogant and denying any responsibility whatsoever. The poor joinery was of no great concern to them. They objected to this client being angry at their shoddy workmanship, atrocious after sales service and the damage caused to my carpet. First Floors of Giffnock, Glasgow suggested that we had damaged the carpet ourselves!!!

We do not understand why First Floors of Giffnock, Glasgow and McLeod Flooring would risk their professional reputations over what is basically a simple repair costing maybe a couple of hundred pounds.

Given our experience I cannot recommend either First Floors of Giffnock, Glasgow or McLeod Flooring to anyone. Quite the opposite.

I visited First Floors as I wanted to replace my stairs carpet which had become very worn, and I had the original Victorian floorboards throughout my downstairs. The showroom was very welcoming, and surprisingly large at the back. I was really impressed with the wide range of products available. I opted for an engineered herringbone in oak for the downstairs rooms and a natural fibre carpet upstairs and throughout my upstairs hallway. The service was excellent, I was offered a coffee whilst browsing and the staff were helpful without being pushy, plus the price was very competitive. My fitting date was arrange within just a few days and the fitters who carried out the installation were very professional and friendly. I'm thrilled with the results and wouldn't hesitate to recommend First Floors.
