First Mortgage

Myself and partner Steven have been with First Mortgages for a few years now whilst we tried to find the right home for us. During that time Karen was not only patient(!!) but she was helpful and gave us honest advice that really helped us in deciding what level of mortgage we needed and would be suitable for us in the long term. We developed a good rapport with Karen and would definitely recommend her to anyone. Ewelina was involved with us towards the end as well and we found her to be really helpful and timely with her emails. Such a great service all round.

This is the first time my wife and I have used a consultant to help us find a mortgage and it certainly won't be the last time we use First Mortgage. Our consultant, Bobbie Howieson, was absolutely outstanding; working evenings and weekends to fit around our schedules.

She was able to check the whole mortgage market to find us the best possible product and she had a thorough understanding of processing times at each of the lenders we were considering.

We really value her honesty and her detailed understanding of mortgages and protection policies. After the application was submitted to the lender, we then had access to an additional contact, Kieran, who was really helpful and efficient in keeping us updated on how our application was progressing.

Overall, a richly deserved 5 star review - I really cannot fault the service.

My partner and I came here for advice on purchasing our first property. Our adviser was Bobbie and we were really impressed with her. She was friendly and flexible. I got the impression that for her the customer comes first and she was willing to work around my work schedule as much as she could. Everything was explained clearly and dealt with so quickly - I never had to chase for an answer and we were kept up to date with our application. I found the process almost effortless and that is down to the clear, open and friendly approach Bobbie took with us. Bobbie and Kieran have been absolutely fantastic throughout the whole process from start to finish. From a First Time Buyers point of view they've explained everything in detail and given us the best offers suited to our insurance needs. They have even assisted with queries outwith working hours, if that isn't going the extra mile then I don't know what is! Fantastic friendly people and first class service. Would recommend the Corstorphine office even if you're not around that area.

First Mortgage were great. As a first time buyer they helped me understand everything I needed to know and guided me through the process. Bobbie was brilliant and explained everything, told me exactly what she needed from me and helped me work out what mortgage was best and affordable to me. Ewelina was great in answering any questions and always kept me updated on the progress of my application.
