First Mortgage

Highly recommend. Michael helped us with a first mortgage as our circumstances were a bit complicated. The whole process was incredibly easy and Michael was excellent about replying promptly to queries and keeping us informed. He's recently helped us to remortgage and again, the process couldn't have been simpler and we're very happy with the deal he arranged for us.

Our advisor James (who we later discovered was an award-winning advisor!) was exceptionally helpful, friendly and explained everything in a way we could understand easily and quickly. Our meetings were informative and positive and we always left feeling like we were being taken care of.

When it came to actually applying for the mortgage (in August 2017) James had done all the legwork based on the information he had gathered from our initial meeting in March, and had prepared a list of potential lenders, specifying which one he would recommend. There is absolutely no feeling of being taken for a ride, or of any hands being in any pockets - First Mortgage were transparent from start to finish and we definitely feel we were recommended the best deal to suit our situation.

Kelly was also extremely helpful, emailing us every three days (or more!) to update us on the status of the application, and chasing anyone who didn't reply soon enough! This took a lot of the anxiety out of the process and made us feel very much at ease.

I have known people to apply for mortgages on their own and it sounds exceptionally difficult and scary - First Mortgage takes all of this on for you.

Overall you just feel like you are in good hands. They are trustworthy, friendly and informative. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Louise and Debbie at First Mortgage were absolutely brilliant. They made the at first daunting process of getting a mortgage for the first time seem simple and achievable. Neil Campbell has been an absolute legend throughout my mortgage process. He patiently talked me through every step and helped put my mind at ease regarding a dreaded early exit fee with my current provider. I genuinely can't give Neil enough praise for the assistance he's provided me.

First Mortgage managed to get me an AIP within 15-20 minutes which allowed me to reserve my new home. They also managed to find me a mortgage deal and life insurance, much cheaper than the bank and insurance companies could offer when dealing with them direct. After choosing the product, a survey was carried out on my new home and my mortgage offer was in place within 8 days. Very fast and convenient service. Even better , their service is free, which is fantastic, especially when there are lots of other fees to be paying when buying a new house. Would definitely recommend First Mortgage and will use them again in the future.

From start to finish, the experience with First Mortgage was excellent. I managed to work with Graeme and get an AIP within 30 minutes on a Saturday morning over a phone call which allowed me to reserve the home I wanted. Then I went into the office with all the documents needed to process a full application and got an offer from the chosen lender within 1 week of applying. Lewis spent time going over all the options available and helped me choose the right mortgage for our circumstances and Dionne processed the application very quickly, keeping me up to date with progress. Can't recommend them highly enough, extremely processional to deal with and took what was a very daunting experience and turned it into an easy process.
