The service from Suzanne and Kathryn was excellent. As first time buyers we weren't too clued up about the types of mortgages we should be looking at and which banks to use. The process was very smooth and easy for us, and we would highly recommend First Mortgage!

I can highly recommend First Mortgage. Suzanne and Kathryn provided me with First Class service! They discussed my needs and found the best product for me. I just had to provide the usual supporting documents and they took care of the rest. They gave regular updates on what was happening with my mortgage application, taking the stress away from that aspect of buying a new house. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again!

I received a first class service from the Walker Street, Edinburgh branch. Suzanne and Chloe were very helpful and informative from the start. No question was too small to ask and I received very prompt responses to all my emails which goes a long way when under the stress of buying a new home! We were kept up to date on the progress of our application from the start and I couldn't have asked for anymore from them.

Prompt and efficient service. We were able to speak to an adviser on the phone to receive a mortgage approval in principle within half an hour and also book an appointment within a week to progress to application. Communication during the application process was regular and concise and we managed to bag the best deal available in time. Suzanne and Chloe managed our application process efficiently and professionally. Will use again, if needed.

As we were first time buyers everything seemed very daunting and complicated until I spoke to Natalie Jackson & Hazel Smith who guided me through all of my options and through the various schemes that were available to me. We were absolutely clueless on where to even begin with applying for a mortgage, Natalie Jackson & Hazel Smith took the time to thoroughly explaining every aspect of the process so we fully understood what was going on at each stage. Hazel Smith was just amazing at keeping us updated while we waited for a decision and helped to speed up the process with the lender when it seemed to be taking longer than we hoped J !!! She was so so patient with us despite of all our questions and queries !!! Katrina Elder , regularly updated on the status of valuation and progress. Their knowledge and advice was invaluable and we could never have done it without them. The whole team there were always on hand and got back to us very fast sorting out issues, quickly keeping me advised and putting our mind at ease.

With no hesitation , We would definitely recommend them highly to our friends and colleagues who are thinking about buying their dream house.

When looking for a mortgage broker First Mortgage stood out. We were not able to make an appointment, but Mark was very happy to do a phone consultation (more about him later). Instantly we could detect the friendly, non-pushy nature of the company. After giving our details Mark was able to give us good advice which gave us confidence to bid on a house and have that bid accepted.
I will admit I was very nervous during our mortgage application appointment. He was friendly, reassuring and professional. he gave us a lot of confidence.
The process was so much smoother than I could have imagined, within three days First Mortgage had our mortgage offer ready, at a rate that was better than we were expecting.
Both Mark and Chloe kept us up to date at all times. Communication was often and easy, with a friendly tone.

We have had nothing but 5* service from all the Team at First Mortgage. We were first qualified by Suzanne Ball who is always quick and prompt and gets back to you very, very quickly which is extremely important when you are nervous and want things done quickly. This was our first home so very new to us the whole process. We had our mortgage application appointment booked within a week and this was where we met Martha Scott and Kathryn Wesley, all above work at the Walker St, Edinburgh Branch. Martha was fantastic she took the time to explain everything we were unsure about and had the patience to work out different quotes when we asked her to. It was fantastic to have someone share in the excitement we had for purchasing our new home and see the enthusiasm from Martha was just great! Kathryn popped in at the end of the meeting and explained she is the case handler and she would be keeping us updated every 32 hours which is great as this is really reassuring and makes you feel really involved and part of the whole process. Mobeen who manages First Mortgage was just brilliant as well, she came down to meet us before the initial meeting and introduces Martha explained what would happen and discussed a little incentive just for us. We were made to feel very valued and everything we questioned was answered. We wouldn't go anywhere else for our mortgage. Please speak to First Mortgage before you go anywhere else.
