Has anyone met our stag in The Castle Restaurant. A very impressive Red Deer who was shot in Dunkeld in 1922.

Thank you Mary M for your 5 star review on trip advisor, we are looking forward to your event next year.
Reviewed 6 days ago Another excellent annual Retired officer's Retreat Every year this hotel gets better and better. We have been attending for the last 11 years for our annual Retired officer's Retreat. The facilities have vastly improved. The decor has been beautifully and tastefully done both in public places and the bedrooms. all very comfortable and relaxing. Above al...l their customer care is second to none. Brian Wishart the manager is to be commended on his leadership of a very efficient team. The staff here are very friendly. They all made you feel special. The reception staff were there with a warm welcome, the restaurant staff not only provided very good meals but served us with cheery dispositions, interesting conversation and made us feel it was a joy for them to serve us. The hotel and the town of Pitlochry is ideal , well situated for elderly who have mobility challenges. The events organiser (Krissy) as usual ensured everything was in place to enable our event to run smoothly.

User

Looking forward to a busy weekend including our second wedding of the year. For all guests coming to the hotel have a safe journey and we will have a glass of whisky waiting for you.

User

We were there for the Christmas party night and had a brilliant time. Our rooms were lovely and modern and staff were happy to accommodate having our friends rooms on the opposite side of the corridor.

The menu on offer with the party night had a good choice and we all agreed one of the nicest meals we have had at a Christmas party.

Lots of choice for breakfast so much so my partner managed a round 2 of food.

If this deal was to come up again next year we would definitely think about booking again.

User

We booked the Christmas party night and boy did we party , reception staff greet , room was clean ,warm and comfortable bed , party night started with a glass of bubbly then into the ballroom , beautifully decorated , food was faultless , waiting staff brill , the band catered for everyone's evening , so to see me and all thank you for a great time

User

Very good hotel located right in the centre of Pitlochry. Dinner and breakfast both good with nothing to complain about, staff very friendly too. Rooms clean and comfortable, facilities good as expected. Would recommend.

User

My husband and i were at the Gangster Murder Mystery night , was fantastic, the 3 course meal was lovely too, such a fun night in a nice hotel, Pitlochry us worth a visit .

User

Murder, mystery weekend was absolutely brilliant.. Bed, breakfast and the evening meal all for £89.00 including the Basil Fawlty entertainment which was so funny. It was my daughters 50th birthday so I arrived early intending to get her bedroom festooned with birthday decorations but the staff did one better... they decorated the dining room for her. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Reception staff, waiters and waitresses and everyone else we met were so polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend giving Fishers a visit.... we will be back

User

Loved everything about our stay. We booked Christmas party night everything was perfect meal was really good staff were great too. Good choice for breakfast in the morning too. Would highly recommend this hotel . Myself and my family will most definatly be back again if the deal is on again next year

User

I stayed last night at Fishers Hotel. I was allocated room 323 which was 1 of the hotels beautifully refurbished rooms, it was a very quiet room with a large walk in shower and a very comfy bed. There was a band playing in the hotel bar at night and they were superb, 3 young lads who played all the classics and had everyone up dancing it was a great atmosphere. Our buffet breakfast was also lovely. Would definitely highly recommend this hotel.

User

Had a great stay great food and really excellent staff very friendly and welcoming only a few wee issues dusty wall and bed was missing a foot but bed was comfy and slept well diffenatly go back and recommend

User

Had a great overnight break here, lovely welcome when we arrived.

Room was clean, bed very comfortable and great shower.

Had booked the Castle restaurant for dinner and the food was excellent 10/10 and also breakfast was delicious, overall would recommend staying here at this lovely unique hotel.

User

Had a fantastic time at a fantastic Hotel. Room was beautiful and very comfortable. Food was delicious and great choices. Lovely and friendly staff who could not do enough for people. Would highly recommend this Hotel. We will definitely be back

User

We booked with an Itison deal. I was a bit alarmed to see reviews that were quite negative.

We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay. Helpful staff, lovely room, good food and nice atmosphere. Great value for money.

User

Very efficient at check in. Offered a wee dram on arrival. We’re on a DBB basis and the two courses we had were very nice. Not wonderful but very passible. Room very nice. We’re I o of the refurbished rooms after fire and 8t was lovely.

User

The Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful,

Room was lovely, just refurbished, only we had a ripped duvet cover and sheet, very poor house keeping for that to be put on a bed for visitors.

Evening meal was good, but the breakfast was not, everything cold, not warm enough.

But apart from that, if they improve on those 2 things, I would recommend the fishers hotel.

User

Issues with car park initially but were pre warned when we booked that it would be first come first served...I don’t think all the cars parked there were residents. Reception staff very friendly and informative. Room, very warm and cosy...bed huge and very comfortable, all facilities in the room spot on apart from there being no decaf coffee/tea or sweetner but am confident if I’d asked they would have been provided. We booked for the murder mystery wedding dinner...food was fine, the melon used in my starter was very hard and tasteless...three choices of desert none of which I liked so asked the waiter if I could have maybe some biscuits and cheese..still waiting...🤔 The entertainment was of reasonable quality but tended to drag on a bit which in turn meant we were eating rather late at night...not good to go to bed on a full tummy..breakfast was also fine but the usual fried eggs hotels seem to be fond of..cooked from the bottom up leaving the top only partially cooked...raw egg can be dangerous...however we had a lovely bowl of soup and bread in The Coach House for lunch and the staff there too were very friendly. I would return as for the most of our stay everything was fine just the small details I’ve included in my review.

User

Appearances can be deceiving looks nice, but paper peeling in hall at reception, in the ladies too and chain locks to lock your lavatory not what you would expect by first glance but staff polite and coffee ok

User

We bòoked as advertised, theatre break ,B&B dinner 1st night and tickets for Chicago 2nd.night. When we arrived we were told Chicago wasn't on the 2 nights we were there. We were booked in for a play we diidn' t want to see.No apology. The room was fine but as there was no double glazing and we were right above the front door we couldn't sleep for road noise and people talking till 2am .Then coach parties chatting as they were collected early morning. Food was fine and dining staff helpful. But I won't be back

User

Not one of the best hotels, I have stayed in however I guess you get what you pay for. On arrival the receptionist was friendly. The room was small, Basic but tidy. We weren't really told how to get to our rooms and The hotel is like a maze. we were not advised in advance that you have to spend over £10 to use a card in the bar. Very embarrassing for my friend when he had to stand in front of a packed bar when the bar staff were insisting that he had to pay cash. A sign at the bar or notice in the rooms would ensure this didn't happen. Breakfast couldn't be faulted, eat as much as you like. Would I use this hotel again.. unfortunately very unlikely

User

Would give it a zero if I could. Only good thing is the location. Staff were rude and unhelpful on reception. Place smells like an old folks home. (the smell was down to the rain according to the manager) Our room wasn’t ready but no apology or free drink or anything as it it from 3pm not at 3pm!!! My parents room was ready so we asked if they could call the room when our room was ready. Reluctantly they agreed. No phone call an hour later we called reception and it was ready. They were too busy to let us know. The manager didn’t apologise. Just the worst customer service. The room was ok and clean enough. Shower was good. Breakfast was below standard as had 4 dirty tea spoons and wet tea plates. The fresh orange was the cheapest of the cheap. For £125 for a twin room I find it shocking. Would never go back.

User

Went in for lunch bar smells of stale drink needs a good clean seemed to be all the staff were European not really what you expect for a Scottish town pub , the waitress outside taking orders was getting her hands licked to death from a dog ,I'm glad see didn't serve our food because see didn't wash them ,not good , food was actually okay.
