Not what we were expecting but a very good surprise. My son loved it and loved seeing all the animals who all look very well cared for. We also ate at the wee cafe that was open the day we visited and the food was good!

Second visit to this place last weekend. There's something really nice about it. The animals look like they have plenty of room and seem well cared for. We paid a couple of pounds extra to do some small animal handling and our guide was brilliant. Could have spent ages here. Well worth a visit.

Fanastic place to go with little ones. The zoo is very attractive with decor and colour. It is not too big so does not require too much walking around (great for tots!) The animals are clearly very well cared for and staff are extremely helpful and informative. It has fantastic facilities too.

Great place for kids and adults too. Plenty of animals to see. There is a wee fairground in the middle which isn't too expensive, it is small and aimed more at younger kids. We spent about 5hrs there and at £34 for a family of four I say that is good value compared to other places

Incredible day out. Spent 4hrs here and that could have be stretched if the adults weren't so tired! Young kids loved it. Plenty too see and toy are able to venture into some enclosures which I'd never seen before. Animal variety was great and the play staff are excellent too. Was told it wad good but still surpassed expectations.

We had such an amazing time here! There was tones of animals to see and the walk around was just superb.

There is a Park for the children to play in and a little cafe to have a coffee/lunch, however the cafe is very small and when busy there will be no chance on getting a seat, so best taking a packed lunch with you.

I love visiting Zoo's with the family and this is by far the best one i've been too. Recommended HIGHLY.

Loved it here, first time we'd been. It was a lot bigger than expected. Animals have really good sized enclosures and all look very well kept. Plenty to do and see for your money. Has a little fair ground for kids. The prairie dogs are awesome and so cute!

Lovely place. A lot to see and to walk around. Big enclosures for the animals. Lots of things to do for the kids ie mini diggers, trains, carousels, small rides. You get to feed lemurs for extra £5 at specific times. Can bring picnic or people can buy from their shops. Toilets are well kept. Wheelchair accessible, some walks can have steep hills. Overall, a really good day out.

Wonderful collection of animals to see ,from the smallest of ants to lions and brown bears and lots in between, with many foreign and tropical species too. Animals are well looked after and the zoo is clean and tidy to walk around. Decent prices for entry with concessions for family tickets and elderly and disabled. The zoo is accessible for Disabled visitors.
Hand sanitiser is sited at many locations throughout the zoo.
Located in a wonderful rural location surrounded by countryside. Some on sight food is sold and the facility to picnic also. Toilet facilities are very basic but functional.
The park also has some fairground style rides for the kids too, although this incurs an extra reasonable cost.
They have an on site gift shop and sit-in cafe also. A great day out for all if animals are your interest. This was my second visit to the zoo with my family and I will definitely be back to visit again!
