FMF Fitness is all about you!

Whether your goals are weight loss, strength and conditioning, rehabliltation, pre /post natal fitness or just to have fun, I have something for you.

My training methods include Nordic Walking; combat training; Boxercise; kettlebells, TRX, circuits and core ball.

I can help with rehabilitation from injury and with pain caused by muscle imbalances.

I also offer deep tissue massage and nurtitional advice for sports and fitness.

Whatever your goal, level of fitness or ability, FMF Fitness has something to offer.

For those of you who would like to do some mid-week Nordic Walking. Not led by me but by my friends at the Active Travel Hub in Irvine.

Norma, one of my regular Nordic Walkers, has a form of cancer called Sarcoma. It isn't easy to treat and sadly there are no treatment options left for her. She continues to enjoy life nonetheless and will keep Nordic Walking for as long as she's able. Her daughter, Fiona, has started this just giving page to raise money for Sarcoma UK by running the Edinburgh Marathon. Please support her if you can.

What a fantastic session yesterday with Face Yoga Scotland. I can honestly say that my skin felt different at the end of the 90 mins - silky, warm and tingly with a healthy rosy glow from the increased blood flow. I found that the muscle activation was hard to get (just like with any muscle in the body if it's under used) but with daily practice I'll soon be able to feel the target muscles firing.
If you fancy giving it a go register your interest and I'll see about getting Karen along to deliver another session.

I have two spaces left on a Face Yoga course that I am hosting with Face Yoga Scotland's Karen Gider.
Just as it's important to tone the muscles of our body we shouldn't forget about our face. There are 57 muscles in the face and neck and as they become stronger through exercise they are lifted and firmed and the skin attached to the muscles is also lifted and tautened, therefore, reducing fine lines and wrinkles!!
This is a 2hr course where you will learn Face Yoga exercises... to carry out in your own time. You will also receive a take home poster of all 18 exercises. It will be held on Sunday 20th May in Barrmill Community Centre, Beith from 1.30 to 3.30. Cost £30.

Due to high demand I've made a change to my Saturday Nordic Walking programme whilst numbers remain so high. I'll be running 2 sessions, each session will be 1 hour 15 mins from 9-10.15 and then from 10.30-11.45.
Numbers for each walk will be capped at 15 with a waiting list as necessary.
