Fantastic hotel. Small enough for them to know you personally, but large enough to provide privacy and peace. The best service we have received in Scotland. Modern rooms, tastefully done. Restaurant out of this world. Spa was busy when we were there, but is due to be extended. Highly recommended and worth every penny. Much better than the big luxury chains.
Fantastic food and service second to none. Lodge room was lovely and spacious well worth a visit for anyone visiting the area. Breakfast was a treat with multiple choice to suit every palate. Nothing too much trouble.
10 stars! I can't say enough about our stay at Fonab. From the moment you pull in and are greeted by Mike, to sleeping like a princess in a castle room, Fonab is a luxurious play to stay! We had one of the top 5 meals of our lives in their regular restaurant (not the fine dining one - that was closed the night we were there). The location is picturesque and a short walk from the city center along the loch. We also took advantage of the thermal suite in the spa which is open to all guests. Amazing. I hope to come back one day and spend more than one night!

I've to say that the location is unique , if you are looking for quiet time in a wonderful location this is your place .. The General Manager mister Nial T. Is a true Gentlemen he is really love his clients... Sure there you can find everything you are looking for and everything they have sold to you by the phone... I don't get paid for this , I just speak from my Heart... Is Really worth some time off from the busy life , here in this beautiful corner of Scotland..
Stayed for two nights to celebrate my wife,s 50th birthday. The hotel was fantastic with all the facilities one could ever hope for in the room, bar, restaurant and spa.
The staff were excellent, attentive at all times and nothing was too much bother for the reception, restaurant and bar staff.
Breakfast was fantastic and served by lovely, polite staff.
Ate in restaurant on both nights and found waiters Tamas and Miriam to be most helpful.We had never tasted scallops before and Tamas asked the chef if he could provide us with a taster sample which was done without any fuss. Needless to say it tasted wonderful.

Being my wife,s 50th she was provided with a plate of sweet treats which was a lovely touch.
Prior to dinner Silvia in the lounge bar was most helpful in making our choice of cocktails easier and they were amazing.
The spa facilities were exceptional and well worth spending some time there.
Unfortunately on day 1 my wife stubbed her toe on the bed which curtailed her walk around the lovely Loch Faskally. John and Val Cameron
