A couple of appointments have popped up. One on Tuesday 3rd July at 2.30 and the other on Wednesday 4th July at 1.00. If you'd like to know whether the foods you're eating are causing bloating, itchiness, irritability, anxiety, weight gain, headaches, sinus problems, pain or inflammation - a Food Intolerance Test could be the answer.

In this video psychologist Amy Cuddy explains how your posture affects your stress hormones. Slouch forward for a couple of minutes and your cortisol levels shoot up! Stand like Wonder Woman and they come back down. In other words - how you sit or stand affects how you feel. How cool is that? Amy talks about using posture to reduce performance anxiety and increase confidence - but if you suffer from a stress-related issue such as bloating or IBS - simply being aware of how you hold yourself could help to keep your stomach calm and bloat-free. Pop over to www.lovetum.com/stress-what-stress/ for more information on stress related bloating and IBS.

There’s a good reason why the words ‘tired’ and ‘emotional’ go together. New research suggests that people who sleep less than eight hours a night are more likely to suffer from anxiety and depression. No surprise to me ... I noticed years ago that when I’m sleep-deprived I’m a lot more ‘sensitive’ than usual. This article in The Independent focuses on the link between lack of sleep and mental health issues - but if you take that to it’s logical conclusion anyone suffering from a physical condition that can be worsened by stress ... such as bloating or Irritable Bowel Syndrome ... could find that plenty of regular good quality sleep helps keep it under control. It's not been officially launched yet but here's a sneaky peak at an article from LOVETUM - a website I've started building for anyone suffering from bloating or IBS. There're probably a lot of people feeling bloated after the holidays so if you think it would be helpful to someone you know please like and share. Thanks x https://www.lovetum.com

Most breakfast cereals are so high in sugars and so low in protein that they are little better than a packet of biscuits. They cause a spike in blood-sugar which can lead to cravings for refined carbohydrates throughout the day and an increase in fat around the midriff. Including protein at breakfast can help you feel full for longer, reduce cravings and also reduce belly fat. A protein based breakfast might take a bit more time to prepare than a plate of cereal or a microwaveable porage pot but the results are well worth the effort.

Chia seeds were my big discovery for 2017. They’re anti-inflammatory, packed with calcium (amongst other things) and a fantastic source of energy - the main reason that I have grown to love them. Since I started taking a few spoonfuls of soaked chia seeds each morning late afternoon slumps have become a thing of the past ...!

Joe Cross was 'fat, sick and nearly dead' - suffering from an apparently incurable auto-immune condition. He decided to do something about it. He took himself off his junk food diet and used nothing but fruit and veg juices to 'reboot' his immune system. It was an extreme move but his transformation is amazing!! He lost tonnes of excess weight and was able to say goodbye to medication he'd been reliant on for years. A truly inspiring story. And a wonderful illustration of just how much our diet affects our health.

Very well worth doing, and Caroline is absolutely fantastic, welcoming and friendly. Confirmed some suspected aspects for me - and a few surprises! Looking forward to seeing how things develop, armed with this new knowledge

Had my intolerance test yesterday and got some really good results. Already had an inkling that certain foods were making a negative impact on my body so it was great to get clarification. Caroline explained so much and offered really helpful suggestions with food alternatives, minerals and supplements and even things to help with my insomnia. Would definitely recommend. Erica

Going for this test was one ig the best choices I could of made.Went for this test and been provided with concrete, essential information about myself to assist and enable myself as well been provided with the answers that were of great benefit. I would recommend everyone gets this test the information you find out about yourself and imperative advice within one session. Really believe probably would of not been here today if I had turned up to my first appointment a year ago. Therapist highly informative, intellegent, knowledgeable on a variety of aspects and all information is concrete and makes perfect sense to interpret absouloutly worth going for this test. My favourite part about the session was it was just full of relevant answers the entire time. Wonderful job highly appreciated
