Excellent range of equipment, good bunch of people.

This 24hr gym offers the best strength training community in the north. The range of equipment will keep strongman, power and olympic types happy. They have some bespoke kit and my favourite bit of new kit is a bulgarian bag. The toilets at times could be cleaner.
I actively encourage people to try their Come lift with us sessions, which i used and found invaluable. Sessions were free to members or just 5 pounds. Material covered everything a beginner needs for the first six months of their lifting in 6 sunday sessions.

Having trained myself and clients alike, all over this funny old planet, I have to say that The Forge is a complete one-off. You get your general run of the mill gyms, you get your above the mill gyms...then you get The Forge! As far as equipment goes, there are more utilities and a wealth of skills there to shape, train and condition your body than you can shake a stick at (if you like shaking sticks).
The ethos behind the gym rules and people who train there are second to none and this makes for an excellent and vibrant environment that will help you to become the best 'you' , that you can possibly be. Management and members alike are a unique crowd who will stop at nothing to make sure you get the most from your experience and the most from yourself. I have never seen a gym with so much unique equipment for use by its members. I really can't hold this gym in high enough regard, and guess what...even in the time that I have been there it has only got better!- There are always new bits of equipment being added which is a wonderful surprise and great motivation to shake up that same old routine that people tend to follow.
For the reason that *The Forge constantly strive to please members and not themselves*, they receive
10\10 in my book.
