Fantastic photos by one of our campers who was inspired by the nautical elements around the campsite. Thank you Paul.

User

As so many lovers of wildlife stay on our campsite, I thought I'd bring your attention to this. Please help the WDC fight this atrocity.

Some amazing skies this time of year. One of our campers took this photo years ago but thought it was stunning and worth sharing.

BEAUTIFUL DAY IN FORTROSE BAY

User

Wonderful stay at Fortrose, the owner was super helpful and even cycles you down to your pitch (we pre booked a specific pitch) The toilet and showers were very clean and also has a great kitchen area for washing up and has a microwave also. We walked down for just after low tide in the evening and saw the dolphins at Chanonry point. It was amazing. Thank you

User

We’ve just spent 3 nights at Fortrose Bay. Lovely site with very good, clean facilities, very helpful staff & good size pitches, ours was on the beach front. A short walk into the town for shopping, takeaways & a couple of pubs and Chanonry Point 15 minutes in the other direction where we saw dolphins a couple of times. We’d definite recommend this site.

User

We have been coming up to this site on and off for 20 years, we didn't get last year. But to find it had new owners was nice, Rachel and Mike are lovely people. And for the campsite, it was a lot better than before, the grass all around was neat and tidy, We asked to be placed next to the toilets, and it wasn't a bother for them, the toilets were a lot cleaner and fresher, and the toilet door doesn't bang now, thank goodness. Just overall a much better place to be. thanks for the lovely stay at 49 next to the toilet lol. Sorry we had to leave early. But we will def be back xx

User

Was greeted as soon as I drove in and was given a very reasonable price. One person in a van on an unpowered site costs £19 per night in high season which is pretty reasonable compared to other campgrounds. It has all the basics- kitchen, hot showers, clean bathrooms. Owner was lovely and the location is gorgeous. Very peaceful and right on the beach. Would definitely reccomend checking it out.

User

Super warm welcome on the day of the expected storm, ended up staying 2 nights. Lovely quiet spot with great amenities, the only thing that slightly spoiled my stay was the glaring light pollution from the camper next to me (why leave an outside light on all night?) and the big dog turd their alsation left right outside my camper. The site itself is simple, quiet, friendly and right by the sea. Great walk up to the point (no dolphins today) and along a lovely sandy beach to Rosemarkie and back along top road to Fortrose. Great place would deffo come back.

User

Stumbled across this beautiful Campsite by chance and happily they had space for us to stay. Really friendly owners with lots of local information. Cycled down to the pitch to show us where it was. Had a beautiful evening overlooking the water. Thank you very much!

User

Probably the surprise of the holiday, just picturesque. The tide slowly lapping at the shore, half hour stroll to see the dolphins.

Facilities lovely. Would book this again and again. Great review on the nc 500 and I agree.

User

My favourite site. Absolutely love it here. Great views over the Moray Firth. Well run site with helpful owner. Looking forward to my next stay.

User

A hidden gem. Not silly prices. Clean facilities. Great sitting looking out to the sea. Plenty of walks. Everything you want including a look at the dolphins.

Thanks for allowing us to stay. No hesitation in recommending this spot.
