Nice place to stop after a long walk, with delicious brunch and friendly staff. It’s also baby friendly. It’s too good to be empty on a Saturday lunchtime.

My little sister and I went for something to eat before the ice hockey match. The food was amazing and the staff are really friendly! We will definitely be back!

Lunch time deals is excellent value and the food was superb. Service and surroundings also great

I organised a surprise 30th birthday party for my boyfriend at Foundry 39 and we all had the best night � All of the staff were so helpful from the beginning, I was given a lovely area of the restaurant/bar to accommodate our group (enough seats for everyone �) I was in contact with Chris and Rados via email beforehand and both were so accommodating, nothing was a problem for them � They kindly stored my boyfriend's birthday cake the evening prior and even decorated the area with banners I had left, I couldn't have asked for any more � I have not eaten at Foundry 39 yet but will definitely be back in the near future � Thanks so much again to the whole team, all of your help was greatly appreciated! �

After struggling to find somewhere for lunch we stumbled into Foundry 39 - we were welcomed in and after a short wait were seen to our table. The meal was delicious, the atmosphere was fantastic and the service was superb!! They were very busy for the rugby but gave us a great experience and will definitely be back.

We were lucky to have won a bar tab via The List and had a great night. Craft beers , fabulous cocktails and the nachos were the best I've tasted in Edinburgh - they are HUGE tortillas and delicious. The staff were nice too, will definitely return. :-)

We came in as I had won brunch and Bloody Marys in a competition in The List. Lovely cosy place, nice atmosphere (we all particularly enjoyed the acoustic guitar). The Oriental Bloody Mary blew my head off - but in a good way! I tried the Turkish eggs and was pleasantly surprised. The kids had the burgers which were also braw. The waiting staff were lovely too. Thanks to everybody for making this a special Sunday afternoon :)

Loved the half pizza half salad idea and the thin crispy Base yum. Good service from attentive staff who didn't rush us at all. Volume of music was just right for chatting

Great menu. Staff very obliging, no bother at all when I asked for something not quite on the menu. Fabulous coffee, the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Friendly, airy inviting atmosphere. Great value for money.

Disappointed with the burgers, tough and had obviously been cooked well before we arrived, they were so tough it was hard to eat. Also disappointed with the limited selection of tap beers. However, cocktails were well made and lovely, as were the staff. The sweet potato fries were also delicious.

Went in at 11 pm for a drink after a show before home, we stay in Dean path area (so local) and told they were closed. This is despite the doors being open and a couple groups of people being in. Web site and door says open till 12. Obviously no money is better than some money. Change your closing times on web and door or serve till 12 as advertised. Locals who will not be visiting any time soon.

Went for dinner last night and the food was pretty good but the service really let the place down. We had a wait to get seated and had to ask for menus after sitting for 10 minutes. In that time, no one asked if we wanted drinks. When we ordered our food, it came quickly (which was great) except a portion of chips which came 20 minutes later than the rest of our food (after asking for them twice). The cost of these were taken off our bill but honestly, the service wasn't great. We did enjoy the atmosphere though - cosy with nice decor and decent music.

The drinks were cheap and the cocktails were good and great value - shame about the staffs attitude though. Very unpleasant and made to feel unwanted. We went in, sat at a table and were greeted by an abrupt ‘can I help?!’ by someone in a suit who I assume was the manager - we said we were just in for drinks and we got a sigh then ‘order at the bar’.



When I went up to the bar later, I stood for about 3 minutes, there was nobody else waiting and the two guys just kept making cocktail as if I wasn’t there. Could have easily said a ‘hi, I’ll be with you shortly’ but instead I finally got ‘what are you looking for’



We felt so unwelcome I was close to asking if I’d offended them somehow?

The cocktails were fab, really spacious & friendly waitress but the food was a huge let down. Bland & greasy. Great ideas that sound delicious but very disappointing when it was served, no better than your average Wetherspoons. I would not return for the food but for a big work night out & just drinks it would be ideal.

Waited for it to open at 1200

1205 member of staff opens door, puts sign out, goes back inside so we assumed it was open and followed. He picked up some cushions turned around and tutted at us before virtually pushing us back out of the door.

Extremely rude and have gone elsewhere...

They're promoting the place also for live music, but that's the wrong place! No place to sit and listen to it. The person at the door kindly told us that we "may" drink something at the bar... which is in front of the front door, and certainly not the right place top stay. Inside no one cared that a band was playing, and I cannot imagine what they might have felt. I definetely won't return there

Edinburgh Cocktail Weekend. Ran out of signature cocktail and refused to offer another even after one of the bar staff spoke to the Manager. Why participate in these events if your not willing to follow it through very disappointed.....
