Over priced. But it does have a good atmosphere and food was nice but not quite what I ordered or paid for...

Excellent environment.
Staff was more friendly and very polite.
I ordered first choice food but ran out. (Disappointed) so second choice food so fab food.
So fab to watched Frankenstein show with smoke, music, him.

Love this place, I was so eager to return to this place when I brought my teenage daughter to Edinburgh. This could be made even better if it offered the bubbling cocktails or smoking cocktails similar to what The Alchemist serve. Just a suggestion. Definitely worth a visit

Unique, fun and lively, Frankenstein is definitely worth a visit. Great selection of drinks, with a bar/dance floor upstairs and a "beer cellar" downstairs. Open till 2 am which is great (pubs close at 1 in Edinburgh). The highlight of the night is the animatronic Frankenstein & light show which is put on at midnight.

Fantastic atmosphere. The night I was there they were screening a movie so I'd suppose they have events often. At the time place was not that crowded which was nice. There is two stories so there is plenty of space. They have karaoke nights, so watch out for those as I have heard they are organized nicely. It's a fantastic place, I'd suggest checking it out. Drinks are plentiful and staff is very approachable.

Only been in the afternoon. a must visit as it is such a great concept. beer was a good price as was the food.

Great atmosphere. We questioned where they got all their decorations, including the rotating Frankenstein spot lights. The answer is a Halloween store if you're wondering. PSA: the "test tube shots" don't actually come in test tubes. The only reason we ordered them, but in the end the alcohol was good.

Great beers and food. The burgers are great and there is a cool atmosphere. Frankenstein was played on repeat while we were there. If you like your beer, be sure to go downstairs and check out Bier Keller.

The decoration is very well done and it feels like a great place of only for the novelty. Unfortunately the service is lacking and their cocktails are far from impressive. I wish I'd like this place but have been very unlucky both times I've visited.
