Frog on a Bike has over 100 years of musicianship between them and repertoire that is rooted in English folk music, both traditional and contemporary. The verve and vigour of our sound is guaranteed to get you up and dancing!

The Frog on a Bike Ceilidh Band are a six piece English folk dance band who have played together very successfully for many years.

We play mainly English tunes, including some of our own, with a bit Irish and Scots thrown in for good measure. With melodeon, fiddle, mandolin
recorder, bass, drums and percussion we make a big sound that's guaranteed to have you up and dancing. If requested we can even give you a song.

The Frog:

Froggy (renamed umpteen times by small children at weddings) was rescued from a theatre in Leeds as the last survivor from a production of Toad of Toad Hall in the 1920's and lovingly renovated. He's made of rag and wood and originally had a flame on a stick which 'lime lit' the stage.
He's been on stage for longer than we have. He's very professional!
