Congratulations to Anthony Chalmers & his 3 Crews from Loudoun Montgomery PS, Fullarton Hub, & Fullarton Church on 3 imaginative short films from the heads and hearts of local young people! Privileged, Proud & V Tasty to attend their awards ceremony last night. Big Thanks to Lindsey Forsyth & Fullarton's Youth & Community Project, Presbytery's Mission Primer Fund, Baird Trust, Ferguson Bequest & others who helped fund and make it all possible. Films will hopefully follow, for viewing, shortly.

A group of our staff and volunteers are taking part in the Coastwatch Scotland Polar Plunge at Irvine Beach on 1st January 2019, to raise money for the work of ConneXions. Please consider donating.

This month’s Spotlight is on John Kerr. John is one of our most experienced volunteers who gives his time quietly going about his business to do all the ‘odd jobs’ around ConneXions to maintain the building and keep it in full working order. John can turn his hand to fix just about anything and is always ready to help after a quick phone call from the Coordinators. From doors, to boards, to floors, to tables John has had a hand in every room in ConneXions, even though you may not know it! We would like to take this opportunity to thank John for his wisdom and willingness to tackle any odd job we may ask him to do. Please do thank John too if you see him. John says, “Since my wife passed away volunteering at ConneXions has got me out of the house and meeting people which has been really positive for me.”

Today we are hosting the North Ayrshire Council Social Enterprise Conference. It’s great to be able to partner with the council and other organisations to help local social enterprises connect with each other.

The Big sing is happening at Orchardhill Parish Church, Giffnock on Sunday 2nd December 2018. It will be a wonderful night of singing and would be great to support them. Don’t forget our Christmas Craft Fayre on Saturday 8th December. We have over 20 stalls of Christmas craft items for sale and a tombola running as well as Christmas treats in the cafe and the soft play will be open for the children. Come down and enjoy some treats, buy some presents and have fun!

We have been advised by North Ayrshire council that the Low Green bridge that crosses to waterside, was due to open last month. However due to unforeseen circumstances and poor weather conditions it will now not open until mid December.

Local Christmas Fayre at the Hub. This is sure to be a great event and will be great to support it.
