Galloway Longfhada Vikings

Viking Reenactment group in Dumfries whose aim is to educate and entertain the public about early medieval period, in particular the 10th Century

Galloway Longfhada are the South West Scotland branch of "The Vikings". We educate members and the public about everyday life, and the dramatic events, around the end of the first millenium. We focus on the 10th Century and cultures present in what is now the UK and Eire.

Our group in particular has an interest in Gael Gael /Hiberno Norse and Strathclyde British cultures.

We also have a high proportion of artists and crafters - as well as warriors!
