myself ,my husband and 4 year old daughter nipped in for a last minute new years eve dinner..... we were made to feel very welcome! the food was great..... service fab..... really nice restaurant while being very child friendly which can be hard to find! having recently moved to the area we will definately be back!!!

Would thoroughly recommend the Garfield House hotel for any event. We held our wedding reception there on Saturday night and have absolutely no complaints. The whole evening could not have run more smoothly and the food was incredible, all thanks to the amazing staff at the Garfield, especially John and Kara. Thanks so much, from the Duffys!

Where to start...... from the day I booked the Garfield as my wedding reception John Kelly was a truly amazing gentleman who knew his stuff! Every member of staff who assisted me during the planning where so helpful and nothing was a hassle. Then on the day what I thought couldn’t get any better each and every person who worked at the Garfield where superb! John Kelly was on top form ensured every moment of our day went without a hitch. He gave a 110% to us and made sure our wedding was an enjoyable occasion to all. I didn’t think I would have been relaxed as I was but John Kelly ensured that by taking on all the stresses and supporting us every step of the way.

I would not have changed one thing about our wedding and I would recommend the Garfield and John Kelly every day.

Where do u start? Cannot fault anything with this venue, the staff, the food, the rooms nor drinks. We loved every moment and loved how involved and personalised our day was. Thanks again x

Went to our annual new year ball we have been the last 4 years and we got the best surprise of the wedding suited was amazing and both of us were delighted our friends also got the bridal suite we had a great time and would definitely recommend the Garefield house hotel we are even looking at this to book our daughter's wedding it was that good

We have just spent one night at the Garfield Hotel, there was a wedding party, a 21st party and a 90th party happening. There was no disturbance from any of the celebrations, the staff are lovely and friendly and the food was first class. We will definitely be back.

We got married here almost 7 years ago, everyone still talks about fantastic it was, the staff where outstanding from start to finish. John in particular made our day go without a hitch and everything was timed to perfection. Food was spot on, our suite was gorgeous . Only disappointment was not getting our overnight stay on our first anniversary. But couldn’t fault our wedding day, the Garfield truly helped create beautiful memories ��

We attended my cousins wedding here on Friday. The place was gorgeous and the wedding was too. One of the loveliest meals we've had and the staff were great, one girl in particular called hannah, she couldn't do enough for us. Thank you.

The hotel was great value with excellent food and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

I am staying in the suite & have to say it’s better than The Hilton Park Lane in London!!

Held our wedding reception here and honestly couldn’t fault it, nothing was to much trouble everything ran smoothly and we all had a brilliant day/night! Completely recommend the Garfield for weddings! John, Kara and all the team a massive THANK YOU from Mr & Mrs Henderson!

Had an excellent evening at the party night at the Garfield Hotel. The rooms were spotless, staff very efficient and friendly and the food was lovely. It’s not easy keeping it hot for over 160 people but these guys know how to do it. Plenty of staff ensured we were served each course promptly and professionally. It wasn’t long before the DJ had us all up dancing. The music was also at the right level which allowed conversation throughout the night. No need to shout at each other just to be heard! At the end of the night we had some chill time in the luxurious reception area and we were delighted to find hot mini pies, just what the Doc ordered after a boozy night! So it’s a big thanks to John and all his lovely staff for making it such a fantastic night. Graham & Aileen Mackay

Fantastic stay this weekend. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they were genuinely interested in how your time there went. The food was also amazing and generous portions. Would highly recommend it and will definitely be back again to stay.

A fantastic location for any event. Business or pleasure. John and the staff could not be anymore helpful and will even go out their way to make you feel very welcome. The service and can do attitude brings myself and family back here time and time again.

The venue for my nieces wedding was perfect. It was beautiful, the wedding meal was almost spot on as a celebratory meal I would have like something more than pasta. We stayed the night before and used the restaurant, the food was delicious, very tasty, well presented and decent price, however the service was VERY slow took us approx 2 1/2 hour to complete our meal, starter arrived almost an hour after we ordered and the time before courses was too long. The rooms were clean enough, but the family room consisted of a double bed and two mattresses which appeared to be on the floor, albeit very comfy sleep. The staff were great and so helpful couldn’t do enough for us. Despite all this I would definitely go back and would highly recommend.

Really nice place, great service, a little pricey for drinks, fab DJ, good all round entertaining.
