Sadly Cormac isn’t here this week but if you still want some excitement for your Thursday, we do have some yummy new gins for you to try! Boe Passion is a delicious passion fruit flavoured gin from Boë Gin that we think goes perfectly with Fevertree Mediterranean tonic! And if rhubarb is more your thing then Orkney Gin Company Rhubarb Old Tom is really something special- it holds its own just on ice, or with a splash of Indian tonic!

We had a meal in here on Friday and it was the first time I had been, such a cosy atmosphere and the food was cooked to perfection. It was really busy and we still didn’t have to wait long for our order and the staff were fantastic! What more could you want! Will definitely be back :) xx

We had a great meal here yesterday. Really cosy bar attentive and pleasant staff. It was cold so the log burner was welcoming as was the comfy red leather couch. Had a drink then ordered food which we took through to conservatory at the back.the food was of a good standard and inexpensive .also liked the quirky way chips were served in old style tin cups.��

Visited tonight and got a table within 10 mins. This is usually unheard of during the World Cup. Local gin and elderflower tonic was amazing as was the halloumi & steak! Friendly staff and speedy service and a lovely welcoming cosy find. Will definitely be back!

Very nice clean place and good atmosphere. Was kind of stuck as to what I was going to have as it all seemed very appealing. Decided on the special lamb shank on mustard mash. Good choice as it was beautiful. All meals that came out look amazing so I will definitely be going back

Such a great place! Some friends and I stayed in Fort William for a night in our Scotland road trip and found Garrison West by chance, had an amazing dinner and enjoyed a few good ales. The beans burger is a delicious option for vegetarians. Also they have a great selection of scotches, I would highly recommend the Ledaig 1999. All the staff was exquisite, we enjoyed a lot (funny Quiz) and definitely will repeat! Congratulations guys :)

Really super food on Fri (24 Nov). In with the two kids, brisket from specials board devoured by eldest and massive portion too. Burger was excellent and cured trout salad very much enjoyed by youngest. Super staff and attentive service. Bit of a wait for food but all fresh so well worthwhile.

Popped in for a cocktail after lunch . The bar staff and I think manager were very friendly . My prosecco was served in a beutiful glass at a reasonable price . Yes ! They sell by the glass girls 👌👌

My friend and I wanted to go and sit out side in the lovely garden they have out back . The manager or very nice bar maid immediately came out and dried the seats for us to sit down 5*

Also worth a mention . A beutiful fire place with comfy couches and a quirky copper topped bar with swivel bar stools . Very classy .

I will be trying the food next time as it looked beautiful

Nice, warm and lively place to eat or drink. Basil mash is to die for 😜! The staff is really nice and efficient. I highly recommend 😉.

Lunch was amazing! Had the bean burger was so tasty! Love the skin on chips and the chicken was nice and moist and Loved the kale pesto will definitely be back with the kids to try the rest :)

Managed to turn a side restaurant into a true hidden gem! Will definitely return and will definitely highly recommend!

Lovely restaurant with even lovelier staff! Went for dinner with family for my dad's birthday and they couldn't have been more helpful. I brought a cake in before the meal and there was no problem at all, they didn't forget about it like a lot of places do but brought it out after we had finished our mains, singing happy birthday :) customer service throughout the night was excellent, all waitresses happy and smiley. Food was also great and we all really enjoyed our meals - the steak in particular was cooked to perfection! Only suggestions we would make would be to have slightly bigger portions (more veg, especially with fish pie) and for the wine to be a little bit colder. No complaints though, we had a great night and will definitely be returning!

Just had the monk fish scampi, fish and chips and kids chicken chunks...Absolutely gorgeous. Service with a smile and amazing fresh beautiful food. Thank you xxx

Incredible Vegan menu!! Fun, down to earth staff, friendly relaxed atmosphere, couldn't have asked for more.... the ice cream n curry (reverse order, honest!).... omg.... we'll be back!

I was stranded in Fort William around two years ago and had to find somewhere to gather my thoughts for my next move as all hotels were full apart from one so glad I came in here staff are a credit to the town as is the bar restaurant perhaps il be lucky enough to return one day but not looking like someone who's slept ruff for four days and missed the last train to glasgow lol

Had a beautiful lunch here today, I loved the lunch special menu where you can get 2 courses for £6, great having a substantial portion of 2 courses for that price, amazing quality of food, it’s not a huge menu but something for everyone with sides available to add on, the haddock chowder was yummy and served in a mug, loved it. Great staff, love the decor, good feel to the place and well worth a visit.. looking forward to going back very soon �

Great little bar me and the Percy's finished the west highland way on Friday and stopped by for a few beverages. Staff are great bunch of Percy's and kept big jock watered all night.

First time at GW, and it did not disappoint! We came for our anniversary meal last night, and it was lovely. Just the right mix of ambience, service and food quality. I’m glad we booked, as the place was really busy, and still folk were trying to come in off the street looking for a table when we left. Despite it being busy, the service level was consistently efficient, friendly and not too intrusive. Food was delish- can heartily recommend the venison charcuterie and the honeycomb cheesecake as options. Will definitely come back on another visit!

2nd time I have eaten in the restaurant now and 2nd time I have had the monkfish scampi it's amazing; definitely recommend it and the price is so reasonable for monkfish. Lovely staff and love the fact all drinks are served in crystal glasses. Will definitely be back. Nice to see somewhere serving good food at reasonable prices , keep up the good work!
