Young Mia ( on the right ) is über excited as she has been in with her Mum & dad a few days ago and chose a lovely new FROG bike in her favourite colour .... Went in for a puncture fix and got a FREE kick-stand upgrade. These days it's a rare experience to get the quality of service and honest assistance of a passionate expert - unless you're in Gear bikes of course. I been going there for years and I recommend you do the same.

We hired two excellent Ridgeback bikes for two weeks to cycle in the Inner Hebrides in June/July 2014. We have hired bikes all over Europe and our experience with these was about the best we have ever had. Tough, great gears and capable of carrying all our baggage. We had absolutely no problems whatsoever on all sorts of road. The bikes were ready and waiting for us as agreed when we arrived in Glasgow. We shall certainly hire from Gear Bikes again. Very pleased to now have my Glasgow wheels! Great job by Gear Bikes in ordering in and sorting my bike in a very short time frame. Despite the driving rain, it was a huge pleasure cycling home to the South Side last night. Good to know I have a nice bike to use when I am in Glasgow. Thanks guys.

Joe, thanks for the help with the wheels, absolutely brilliant (despite the weather on Saturday morning!). Couldn't have asked for better service - for everyone else that has no idea what I'm talking about, Joe ordered me in some disc wheels. Six bolt were out of stock, so he got me AFS and provided CL rotors to match, including lending me one whilst the new ones came into stock. Fantastic!

Joe and the team are fantastic - great to chat to, sorted hidden issues with my bike including one that could've led to it being a write-off, kept me up to speed and even sent a video of the work. Been using the shop for about 5 years regularly, no qualms recommending them �

I just recently flew my bike over from the states and I noticed on my first ride my rear mech was having a little bit of trouble. I knew the problem was easily fixable, that it would only take a few min, probably just a tweaked hanger or some tension issues. But when I asked at the big bike shops in town they all said that it would take at least 2 days to a WEEK to just have my bike looked over. To be fair the games were in town and I should have expected the shops to be swamped, but I was leaving in a few days and didn't have that much time to get my bike serviced. Out of luck I asked a cute girl on a bike downtown where I could find a good bike shop and she pointed me to Gear. When I got there the mechanic was extremely friendly and put my bike on the stand the second I got there. In a few min he had fixed my issues and had my bike going smoothly, and was even kind enough to take time to ask about the details of my trip and my plans. I'd go back here in a heartbeat, and I'm sure if you give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

Huge thanks to Iain for getting me sorted with my first proper bike: friendly, trustworthy service and a lovely balance of common sense with technical know-how <3 I know where I'll be coming back to get geared up for touring later in the year!

Great bike shop! Helped me find the tools needed for replacing some components on my bike and then last week replaced my headset which had developed a disturbing rattle in record time.

Great customer service, Joe remembered from an email conversation days previous that I had wanted my bike done ASAP and it was ready within 4 hours! Good advice and easily approached staff, very friendly and helpful. Definitely be back, would recommend to everyone.

First time using, and so helpful today. Felt rubbing, but couldn't figure out problem. Gear removed a large washer from my back wheel, replaced and let me use their pump while charging me nothing. Bike's now running like a dream, and I am zero dollars down for the privilege - thanks guys!

Fantastic service from the guys at Gear � Shop once again. Super fast turnaround, and they really did go above and beyond to help me source some second-hand parts to keep the repair costs down. � Regular, clear and convenient communications via text message throughout. � Would recommend to anyone. �

Douglas Beattie – 5 starHi guys Douglas here (I'm the one with the blue and red CXR Boardman) thanks for putting the pannier rack and 28 schwalbe marathon plus tyres on my bike a week or so ago. It's been perfect! I m just back from an epic cycle tour all the way up the west coast of scotland. Did 387 miles in 6 days loved it! Lochranza, Oban, Tobermory, Mallaig, Portree and Skye, Kyle of Lochalsh. Stayed in SYHA hostels or bunk houses! Awesome scenery! Anyway I really like the service and top quality work from Gear! Thanks!

Buying things like bikes I always appreciate to get advices from people who just have a passion to this what they doing and great knowledge rather than from biggest sellers, full of eye-washing promotions. This is why I bought my bike and a lot of stuff for cycling here (after visiting other 3 popular sellers in Glasgow city), which is just a wee place on Glasgow West End but inside you can find top equipment. After all I think I made good choice followed by honest advices from this guys. Winter using bikes a lot, specially that I cycling around 150 miles weekly. Yesterday I had my first service in Gear Bike Shop. All was really friendly, quick and my machine is like brand new and shining. And all of that free from charge. Thanks a lot for that!
