Fan-favourite format Modern has returned! We have a big Modern event happening on the 31st, so why not do a bit of extra practice? As an extra reward, we're throwing in a Tarmogoyf!
Modern includes a large card pool with many powerful deck options available. If you don't have a Modern deck, there are sometimes spares hanging around, or ask a friend very nicely if they have one. :)

It's another Standard FNM with Ravnica Allegiance! There are still many neat decks to try out, so be brave and make a spicy deck!
Plus, we know there are people wanting to get extra practice in before the big Modern event on Sunday. If enough people come for that, then we'll run an event alongside Standard, otherwise you can happily practice with whomever else is there. :)

Standard Showdown returns for a new season!
For most Saturdays for the next few months, we are running our Standard Showdown events in store.
Standard Showdowns are casual events where you play (you guessed it) Standard decks with others. With packs for every player, and some of the special Standard Showdown prize packs given out randomly as door prizes, it's the perfect place for newer players to try out their decks, or experiment with fun strategies!
... Vital Information: Price: ┬Ż5. This at least one prize pack at the end, and a free drink!
Time: We will be starting at noon-ish most Saturdays!
Structure: We usually have enough players to run a 4 round swiss-pairings event. (that means you play vs. people with the same record)
Prizes: There are some 4 Standard Showdown packs to be handed out each week, most to be given out randomly as door prizes, plus a bunch of extra boosters, roughly a pack per win!

Due to high demand for us to open on a Sunday we have now decided that we will open the store Wednesday to Sunday, Therefore this coming Tuesday we will sadly be closed!
... We apologise if this impacts your weekly ritual of visiting us on a Tuesday however for most of you the sunday will be beneficial as we know a bunch of people work all through the week and it gives kids a place to play all weekend!

Our first Standard Qualifier event is tomorrow! DonŌĆÖt be late!

It's our War of the Spark Pre(?)-Release Weekend spectacular! It's all-out war!
We have a total of 6 Sealed Deck events over the course of the weekend, and they are planned to be as follows:
Friday 26th:... - 12:00PM (noon) - 17:45PM
Saturday 27th: - 10:00AM - 16:15PM
Sunday 28th: - 10:00AM - 16:15PM (Two-Headed Giant Event)
Note: these times are earlier than last time!

You can play in any number of events. We can hold spaces for you if you contact us on the Facebook shop page, in the comments of this event, or in-store.
If you are playing in multiple events, you'll need to pay them all up on the first event you attend* to take advantage of our wonderful multi-event pricing scheme. :o
*If you end up playing more events than intended, i.e. from being on the waiting list, you will pay the reduced price on all events.
Each event includes a FREE pack of sleeves and a drink.
Player Cap: We have a total of 180 places for the entire weekend, distributed between 6 events.However, we will open sign ups and adjust the amount of spaces each event has based on each time's popularity.
Format: Pre-Releases are SEALED DECK events, which means you build a 40-card deck out of 6 boosters you get with your entry fee, and you also get to use your exclusive Pre-Release Promo!

Prize Structure: For each player we add at least 3 packs to the prize pool, which is spread quite evenly so everyone comes away with prizes.
In addition, the three *evening events* have a FULL BOX of extra prizes spread evenly among the players with the highest point totals.
Plus, the noon event and both morning events also have a bonus HALF-BOX of extra boosters spread evenly among the players with the highest point totals, AND the winners get a bonus play mat!
Pre-ordering boxes: Yes, you can order them! However, these were very popular last time, especially with the fabulous new buy-a-box promos, so supplies are limited on the first week. Don't worry, we'll have more in for the official release!

Come along for fan favourite format Commander and whatever other formats you want to play!
┬Ż2.50 entry gets you 1 standard booster pack upon entry, tables to play on, a free drink and so on.
All you need to do is turn up at any time from 5pm onwards, and play unlimited on-demand games with the other players for as long as you want!
... Remember, games will be running all night, so you can turn up at 7 or 8pm just as easily as 5. :)
Want to give it a try, but don't have a Commander deck? Don't worry, there's usually a few spare.
