Went for weekend breakfast with the hubby. Great service, excellent food...warm and tasty. Never had any complaints when visiting here. Keep up the good work ����

We loved santa and the ice skating. The choice of gifts and atmosphere was great. On a whole the staff were really good... 5*





The cafe was disappointing.2*...... we were in stitches at the younger cafe staff maybe sessional but jeeso .. monotone... non smiling... bah humbug vibes....slightly over priced on the food standard and items came in dribs and drabs....not efficient. Garden centre and Xmas experience 5* cafe... Oh dear what a shame �

Took my 5 year old to the soft play area which he enjoyed. Did have to wait a while to get served when ordering drinks and food, seemed to be only one person on front making the drinks and taking names for soft play. We then had a look around the rest of Gemmells which had lovely Christmas decorations on display and the new ice rink looks fab to come back and try out on our next visit. Love gemmells x

Jamie had his 2nd Birthday Play Date with use of the party room and It was brilliant! Fantastic soft play & kids had great fun & enjoyed the buffet & ice cream! Huge Thanks to all the staff they were fantastic! Jamie is a regular visitor at Gemmell's so he will be back very soon for some more fun! Xx �

Had a lovely lunch today with mum, every Saturday we go somewhere for lunch and was at Gemmell's a few weeks ago and wasn't impressed however the staff explained that they were in the middle of a revamp and updated their menu, so we thought we'll go back again. And this time we certainly wasn't disappointed, everything was first class, food, service and staff were so pleasant. Well done we will certainly be back

Had a fab wee afternoon with family, friends and neighbours at Gemmell’s today. Ice skating for us all � followed by coffee and yummy selection of sandwiches and � cakes. Thoroughly enjoyed by all and can’t thank you enough for looking after everyone. Liz thomson ����.

Great place to visit with the family, loads for the kids to do, especially with the new crazy golf course & the foods amazing too! Definately worth a visit.

Places who will cater for vegans without rolling their eyes are hard to find. Gemmel's make an outstanding salad with chips. Would have been 5 stars if there were even a couple of vegan friendly options instead of only a salad

I visited today with my friend and my 9 year old son. Our lunch was lovely but the kids play area is a poor set up. Great area for kids to play but i had to pay £3 to enter the area for the ride on vehicles. The rest of that play area is for smaller kids!! It doesnt make sense. I dont have a problem paying the £3 but that should access everything. Dont understand why it is in 2 sections. Surely the ride ons should be in with the bigger kids section then!! Disappointing as the garden centre is fab.

Very disappointed today, since the much trumpeted revamp the cafe has now become extremely poor value for money, I love it here and regularly visit with my parents, but today our food and drink bill was double what it used to be as the drink and roll or scone for £2.50 deal has been removed. This was our main reason for visiting as it was such good value. We will still visit as the staff are lovely but I think we will go elsewhere more often now unfortunately :-(

Took our wee girl to the soft play for her 1st birthday today. There was no air conditioning and the place was so warm we couldn't stay for the 2 hours we paid for. The high chairs were filthy so I had to clean one! There was a lot of cheap margarine on her sandwich so she couldn't eat it and thought it was overly priced for what we got. Think we will take her somewhere else next time

The food area should really let people know how long before ordering . Waiting 20 mins for a sandwich and coffee . Maybe do coffee and sandwich separate.

I go to Gemmells regularly with my childminders kids. Usually really enjoy it but today I was left feeling disappointed. Firstly the price had been put up. If you have a few kids that makes a difference. The place was very busy so I'm sure they would have made plenty money. Bought the four kids their lunch boxes but couldn't get what they wanted in them as they had limited stock on quite a few things and were waiting on order coming in tomorrow . Not great when kids want them today. Wasps everywhere, . Girls toilet seat was broken. Tables were left dirty. The girls who work in there are really lovely and helpful but we're run of their feet. Management, for the increase you are charging per child maybe you should use it to pay another worker . Very disappointed.

Been coming for a while, but I wasn't impressed today. The lasagna was really dry. No longer great value for money. Not helped by the lack of friendliness from the staff. I felt like I was just on a conveyor belt. It won't be on my list of places to visit anymore.

Went to the soft play as usual got a kids sandwich box at about 12.30 and they had no kids cakes left ( which is the only time he gets one ) ordered some breakfast stuff took 40 minutes to get our order and the place only had about 5 tables of which most were eating . I went to say and was told we had to cook the sausage from fresh so every other time I have ordered and waited ten minute means I haven't had fresh cooked food that they say they provide . Over the back of the outdoor play area staff were burning stuff unsure why u would do this out the back of a kids play area ??? ����

My husband and I used to eat here once or twice a week (sometimes more) good value and good homemade food. Alas, they changed the menu and the way of ordering.. and not for the better I’m afraid. We visited on the Tues and had a lovely meal, went back on the Thurs and what a shambles. Not only had they reduced the choice and removed all the hot plates (was nice to see the choice on offer, now the food is “hidden” through in the kitchen) but the price had increased by almost £6 for our meals. Sorry but we won’t be back and have been coming here since it first opened many years ago..

A regular customer with my dad for many years but after todays visit I won’t be back in a hurry! Food is definitely not as good as it used to be. I sent my meal back today as it was very greasy (macaroni??) I got something else in its place but no offer of money off our cakes or anything like that to compensate. It’s a shame because the food used to be so good but it has definitely went down hill xxx

Plenty other quality places to eat in ayrshire.

Took my parents today to Gemmells, (their 51st Wedding Anniversary) for a coffee and scone, what a shambles!

Ordered 2 teas, 1 latte, 2 x scones and a panini, the assistant gave me the scones and said she would bring drinks over, 15 mins later I asked where were the drinks to which she replied she would check, then came back asking exactly what we had ordered as lost the ticket. After asking again and waiting I went up to counter and explained that both my parents had eaten their scones .... still no tea!! Finally rest of order brought 34 mins after ordering and asking several times!!

I was then told by a member of staff that they had started a new system, but think they need to rethink that!!

Looking around there seemed to be a lot of disappointed customers, such a shame as always enjoyed a wee coffee there in the past.
