I live in an old house with old awkward fireplaces. I've had three of them updated. The efforts made by the sales guy, Stephen, to get the best result possible were exceptional. Good old fashioned customer service!

I tried everywhere to get a new fireplace for my lounge. As the original chimney hadn't been lined up properly with the fireplace it required a little more effort than most. I tried 4 other companies who didn't want to touch it. George McAlpine got their fitters out before they started to confirm the job (time consuming but not difficult), their products are great and their customer service from start to finish has been superb. I cannot rate this company and all their staff highly enough. Many thanks guys!

In February 2017, I decided to get a quote for installing a gas fireplace in my lounge. I found this company to be very helpful. I didnt feel I was given "the hard sell" approach. They listened to what I wanted and gave me some useful suggestions. I chose a bespoke fireplace surround, which they were able to make to my measurements, specifications, colour etc. The quote was very competitive. The work was done on time and the staff were very professional. I am very happy with my beautiful fireplace! All my friends comment on it. I would have no hesitation in recommending McAlpine's to other customers.

We recently had a multi fuel stove fitted by McAlpine in our new kitchen extension. The company were highly recommended by friends. From our showroom visit onwards we couldn't have had better service.
Stephen worked with our builders onsite to ensure correct fitting of fire and flu, and Christopher came out last week and spent two hours with us showing how to start and build the fire to avoid any smoke. As complete novices this was much appreciated.
Can't praise the company highly enough.
