We have a dedicated team based in the UK and also in Greece and Croatia for your own peace of mind. This is in addition to our other contacts within the USA, Australia and Norway, meaning there will always be somebody you can speak to before, during and after your holiday.

We have an extensive selection of contemporary yachts available for hire. With approximately 2000 yachts and catamarans to choose from, we know there is something to suit everyone’s taste.
We can be more selective and objective by recommending the best boat for you. We are always considering what your sailing group would like to experience on your holiday.

Our Skippers
The Getaway Sailing Skippers are all professionally qualified with a passion for cruising the islands of Greece or Croatia by boat. Just like a tour guide, they know the best places to chauffeur you to and they will advise you.
Our Skippers are fully qualified professionals that have sailed in these waters for a number of years. We do not use Skippers still in training or straight out of a Skipper Academy.
We take our safety and our professionalism very seriously, but of course there is a lot of fun to be had onboard these trips too. Not only are our Skippers knowledgeable and fun, they are a musically talented bunch too.

Wonderful week away
This has been an amazing experience. Everyday a new adventure. Where to swim today?? Josip, our skipper is fantastic, there's nothing that he won't do for us. Full of sailing knowledge. Susan, our hostess has also been fantastic, with lots of Croatian knowledge. Can't wait to come back, it's really opened up a new way of traveling.
Taste of Croatia was a sumptuous trip, mainly because of the international crew and great organisation. Our Croatian skipper was a blast and our guest manager had everything organised. We had 2 Canadian lovebirds two Norwegians from Poland and Russia and me. Korcula was my favourite destination, with cocktails up an ancient monument as the sun went down. We saw 5 dolphins, swam in coves every day and ate incredibly well. Getaway found a few exclusive venues that were stunning - a winery tour and hill top hideaway restaurant to get away from the crowd. If I can I will definitely do another trip. The team have an international flavour that is smart, sociable and special.
Simply marvellous. Attention to detail; beautiful boats, fabulous pre booked restaurants, super skippers. What can I say...such an amazing trip, and fantastic memories. I haven't laughed so much in ages. Thanks to all who made it super special
Really enjoyed our stay on the yacht for one week. We got to see lots of beautiful ports and ate so much gorgeous food. The trip was so well organised with extra excursions available if we wanted to go, which we did. The wine tasting evening was particularly good fun and the best night for food over the week. I would definitely recommend staying with Getaway Sailing :)
My first time travelling solo, so was feeling uncertain about arriving alone in Dubrovnik. The taxi from the airport was easy to find and priced exactly as was in the holiday pack. I was met by a smiling Susan in the marina who took me to the bar where she introduced me to the others on the trip. We exchanged pleasantries then very soon headed out to buy provisions before embarking. Our adventure began.
The week was relaxed and the itinerary just as the website said. Susan travelled with us, along with our skipper Ivan - not only arranging the trips, but planned for us every restaurant and bar with locally sourced food. The sailing was great, we all got on well as a crew and by the end of the week had embraced solo travelling - promising to return next year. I've made some great friends. �
I had a week in Croatia and had a great time. Met a great group of people, sailing beautiful islands. The food was great at all the restaurants. It will remain one of my favourite holidays and I will be back.
I had a week in Croatia and enjoyed it so much I was only home for 4 days and went to Athens for more fun, sunshine, good company, good food, great adventures,super sailing,wonderful sunsets, great skipper, lovely Susan, friends for life and a life changing experience. Had a really brilliant time with Getaway Sailing this week in Croatia! Only my second time on a sailboat so was a little nervous about the sailing bit, but our skipper Dom was brilliant, made me feel really at ease on the water and I even skippered the boat on a few occasions! The Amazing Tony did a super job of organizing all of our non sailing activities, making everyone feel at home and giving us the opportunity to see so many fabulous parts of Croatia. The sun was shining, the water was a gorgeous clear blue and it was really fun to spend the week with a new group of friends who I am excited to keep in touch with. I could not have asked for a better trip. Already planning when I can come back again! xxxx Paige

Zoran was a great skipper, Susan the best host, always making sure everything ran as smoothly as possible and that everyone was happy. The islands we visited were all beautiful, particularly Korcula. The weather was mixed but it didn't spoil the holiday one bit. All the "crew" on my boat, without exception were just the best and we all got along so well for the entire week! Getaway Sailing I will be back!
The week flew by - it was exactly what I needed and more than I expected! Thanks to Tony and Dom for taking care of everything.
