I'm always interested in images of women on building sites, for obvious reasons...this one from a publication called 'mother earth' made me laugh ....NOTICE man no 1 has PPE, big gloves and eye protection holding big stick! Man No.2 is similarly kitted out and weilding hammer, whilst woman on the levelling job has no PPE at all and is wearing a nice white shirt. I wonder what the thinking was behind the drawing? Woman just do the clever stuff and won't get her hands or anything else dirty including her eyes? or Big Gloves not for Girls?lol - they dont make them small enough anyway - even now!

It's great fun working outside when there's no snow! Yay!

I found this and thought it might be a handy tip for some of us. Cracks in concrete floors are very common especially in our climate when the concrete might not have cured properly etc

I must be the luckiest woman in the universe?? So far TODAYI've had the good fortune to have been either randomly or specifically selected by...Lidl, Aldi, Costco, Sainsbury's, Tesco, M&S, the CO-OP and Morrisons to receive vouchers and gifts to the value of thousands of pounds!! At this rate it looks like by the end of the week I should be able to retire or semi-retire, eh Allan? LOL Anyone else out there fed up unsubscribing or being trolled online? When will people realis...e how counter productive this kind of marketing can be....The Marketeers are the real Profiteers in this complicated age of convoluted digital marketing and they're not going to stop pushing it as long as 'we' keep paying them to. Your budget is eaten up trying to sell me something I've already bought or decided not to. You see our brains work quicker than their strategy of following us and showing us stuff we've already seen, liked, clicked on, or explored. And seeing it over and over and over again switches me right OFF. Thankfully our seeking minds and hearts can explore beyond that which is presented to us on a plate.

Thanks for the new 'likes' guys. We really appreciate those clicks! We're also really happy to see a turn in the weather. Putting up our buildings in the sunshine is SO much more enjoyable when it's dry and there's blue skies.

Meet our latest recruit to the family business! We've waited years for Jaydo to grow into this boiler suit and adopt the builders stance and I think you'll agree he's definately got it. We just have to get him sorted out with his hard hat that fits, his tickets for the JCB and 'Wee-man' basket and he'll be out erecting the buildings along with the rest of us LOL For now he's supervising this Garage & Facilities Building at Auchinleck. Good Job and thanks Mum for giving him the time off LOL!

SOMETIMES! I honestly think we'd be better of with pen and paper. Computer breakdowns, Internet, Wireless, Phone Signal, Software, Hardware, Downloads, Updates and everything 'hanging' whilst we spontaneously combust. I could have stayed in bed this morning and got more done. Anyone else have days like this? I do SO prefer the days on-site and away from the desk....SOMETIMES! LOL

'Free Electric Van' We're test driving a Nissan e-NV200 this weekend. It is very 'enlightening' ho ho ho. You really need to plan every journey and so spur of the moment jaunts will need some thought, if we do go electric. It's weird having no engine noise...you really have to be aware of pedestrians who just don't hear you BUT we do want to be an Eco Business and this has Zero Carbon Emissions so we do really hope that it works for us, the environment and our fellow travellers! It's the little things! Anyone who's done a three day show knows the commitment required and the support needed to get through it successfully. So a huge thanks and love to our building team, leafleters, volunteers, dogsitters, bakers, artists, flower arrangers, customers, visitors, fellow stall holders and friends. We couldn't have done it without you. X

It's our last at Ayr Flower Show and it's been fabulous. Daisy our wee display shed is however now for sale. We may have to evict Liz who has taken up residence and made it her own. Our guest residents have really helped to show the shed in use. SO if you need, want or have fallen in love with the 'She Shed' Then give us a call before the end of play today and Daisy can be delivered and erected in your garden TOMORROW!
