BILLY BARNES CUP | Join us for pre-match hospitality for the opening game of the season versus Cartha Queens Park Rugby Football Club. We are expecting a sell out and are aiming for a record crowd to kick off the new season. To book please email ghalunches@gmail.com
Also, we are delighted to be offering a Lunch Club Season Ticket this year. You can attend all pre-match lunches (12 in total) for only £240 for the year (£210 Concession) - this includes your match entry. REPRESENTATIVE RUGBY | Congratulations to Adam Kerr, George Baird and Christopher Lynas who have all been selected to represent Glasgow U20s in the U20s District Championship which begins tomorrow.

🍺 Join us this Friday night as we open our newly refurbished Overlee Lounge Bar. The room is currently stripped back (pictured) awaiting the new seating and carpet being installed on Thursday.
We are delighted to be able to continue to invest in our facility for our members to enjoy and at only £60 per year our Social Membership offers great value for money. If you know of anyone interested in joining, please encourage them to come along.

The GHA Gazelles and the Whitecraigs Rhinos hosted Skane RFC from Sweden last Saturday in what is probably the driest game day conditions ever experienced at Braidholm!

😢FAREWELL | Last night the senior squad bid farewell to two of Braidholm's adopted sons. Seitaro Usuda and Clément Tucoulet head home to Japan and France respectively having completed their studies in Glasgow. Both were presented with framed photo montages of their time playing for the club, kindly organised by our club photographers Colin and Joyce Robinson.

The first game of the new league season is set to be a cracker as GHA welcome old rivals Cartha QP to Braidholm in the first leg of the Billy Barnes Cup.

PRESEASON | We are pleased to announce our preseason schedule and invite interested players of all levels to join us for the coming season.
We cater for players of all abilities across our four senior teams - from those aspiring to play professionally to those interested in playing casually.
We have one of the best Club facilities in Scotland and hope to embark on the building of a new 3G arena this summer.
... Preseason starts on Tuesday the 3rd July and our preseason schedule includes a short tour to Harrogate in mid-August.

The Giffnock Beer Festival is back for a 4th year and this year's event is set to be bigger and better!
We will have 2 Giant Marquees filled with some of Scotland's leading Craft Brewers along with Craft Gins, Street Food and Prosecco Bar.
There will also be Fair Ground rides for the children to enjoy.
... GBF is operated by GHA Rugby Club and is a community event with all proceeds going towards community sport in the Southside.

ANNOUNCEMENT | Tony Brogan has been appointed as the new Club Captain for next season taking over from Paul Harkins who held the position for the past two seasons.
Director of Rugby, Rangi Jericevich said - "Tony is a player who we feel epitomises the Club values especially through his commitment, humility and the respect with which he is held among the playing group. Tony will be well supported in his role by a strong leadership group which has been elected by the players and also by the more senior players in the Club."

2nd XV PROMOTED | We are pleased to announce that our 2nd XV have been belatedly promoted to the 1st Division having finished 3rd in National Reserve League 2 for the fifth time in the past 6 seasons. We were offered promotion following Glasgow Hawks withdrawl from the League.
Head Coach Kenny Fairbairn said - "It's not the way we wanted to get promoted but we are looking forward to the challenge of playing the best reserve teams in the country next season."

AWARDS | We signed off season 2017/18 with our Annual Player's Awards Dinner last night.

I have visited a game of GHA in November 2015 when I was on holiday in Glasgow with a friend! We had a great time and it was a very nice experience to see for the first time a Rugby match! The players of both teams worked very hard and the atmosphere on the pitch was very good! The game was very exiciting and we have both enjoyed it very much! Thank your very much! Great club, great company for players and also great place to have any type of functions!!!

Great atmosphere, family oriented club. Good bar and catering facilities and well worth a visit especially the PA guy on match days �
