We are inviting Old Roydians back to school to share their Ghyll Royd experience and stories from their lives and careers to share with the children.
We would love to hear from a range of people to hear about their lives and career paths which we hope will inspire and excite the current pupils.
There will also be an opportunity for former pupils to tour the school and look through old pictures from years gone by.
... If you would like to be involved in the alumni day, please get in touch with Rebecca Wilson (rebecca.wilson@ghyllroydschool.co.u k).
Please share this event and invite friends to reach as many former pupils as possible. Thank you for your support.

Children in Years 3 to 6 provided an afternoon of song, performance and entertainment to teachers and families on Tuesday 2nd April 2019. Specialist Music Teacher Mrs Coultas, accompanied by teachers Mrs Richards and Mr Pryde helped produce another wonderful Ghyll Royd concert featuring singers and musicians.
Each and every child performed confidently and sang so beautifully. For some, this was their first time showcasing their recorder or specialist instrument playing to an... audience. Well done to all!
The afternoon was rounded off by a performance by our Key Stage Two ensemble and closing numbers by our junior and senior choirs.
Thank you to everyone who came along to watch, to our marvelous children and to Mrs Coultas and the teachers for making the afternoon possible.
Videos to follow!

In House Assembly today, Form 4 organised a digital hunt. Using photographs the class had taken around the school, each house had to recognise the location of the picture to lead them to each clue.
Great teamwork!
Getting all warmed up for We're going on an egg hunt! at the end of the month!!

A ginormous well done to Noah in Great Explorers who swam 200m (when he was 3) without stopping!! His swimming coach had never seen anyone his age complete the swim.

We held a fantastic interhouse football tournament yesterday afternoon! This term we gave both boys and girls the choice between netball and football for their Wednesday games afternoons. This proved a big hit with children getting the choice to try new sports and work in mixed teams.
Mr Laycock was impressed with the teamwork and determination of the children. Each child played their part in working towards the trophy and had great fun too.
Congratulations to Nelson, the overall winners!

Little Adventurers are rounding off their colour topic by bringing everything they have learnt together to look at rainbows! They did some magic mixing last week and have been painting using spray bottles. This week they tried the skittles experiment and watched the colours drain from the sweets.
