Hello all! Would anyone be able to recommend local cake makers that you have found recently?
I have underestimated what I thought would be my occasional availability and certainly at this stage (due to unforeseen circumstances) wouldn't be able to offer any standard of cake you'd expect.
... I've had enquiries from very loyal customers and hate leaving them scrambling for an alternative baker. Thank you!! Xx

One last thing... A first for me; covering & decorating ready-baked cakes (fruitcakes). This two tier wedding cake travelled to a venue in Warrington .. a gift for the happy couple from their friend. Handmade roses, rosebuds and petals💮🌸 One happy ending marking an exciting beginning. Perfect x

Finally 💗 Tamzin turned 18 on Valentine's day. (My car still smells of chocolate as this cake is smothered in Nutella and piled high with chocolates!) I've provided Sharon with cakes for weddings and birthdays. And especially now i'm so pleased that my final order is for your girl, lovely lady. I thought this was portions of cake on dessert plates at first but it's actually all that was left of the 2 tier fruit and chocolate cake on the 12" cake board and serving plate from yesterday. I rarely share feedback but I may as well self indulge on my last week. It's nice to finish on a high ! X

I have no orders left on my books! No. More. Baking! Here's number 1 of my final 2 which I delivered to my lovely neighbour Debbie on her significant birthday. Top tier is rich traditional fruitcake - with brandy and marzipan. The bottom tier is chocolate sponge with a fluffy chocolate buttercream. Finished off with hand-painted gold and pearlised edible beads x x

A non-traditional christening cake for Natalie's twin girls for today. Sweet Williams on top in memory of her dear dad. Hope you all had a wonderful time and it was my pleasure to make my final cake (but 3!) yours 💓💓

This cake was booked waaay in advance by a lovely customer for her niece's baby shower. Handmade little shoes finished with ribbon. And so fulfills my weekly quota.😍 I then received a lovely note of thanks with a beautiful picture of glowing mum-to-be with her cake! Exciting stuff. Good luck! Wondering which shoe gets kept ... Pink or blue? 💙💗

I'm reluctant to close this page right now while there's still a bit of interest but sadly i've had to turn down a few requests as I've reached my new limit. (I very rarely let anyone down before - especially valued customers - so it's not easy).
It's tricky trying to predict my availability as life is moving in a different direction but so long as the page stays, if I can help, I will. If not personally then by putting you in touch with a cake maker... I rate highly.
If it does prove too difficult, i'll close the page down.
I'm very sorry for any disappointment but there are some amazing local cake makers out there but I'm always very thankful you chose me first x 😘💕

Wherever you are in the world, you'll want to do everything you can to protect your green spaces. If you are free this Wednesday and live close-by (G76) then we need as many people as possible to stand up to the-powers-that-be and show them that our kids and our vital green spaces are not easy targets.
... Kids' physical fitness and outdoor play is an integral part of growing up. Without adequate spaces we cannot encourage those habits that promote good mental and physical health and a better chance of a happy, active lifestyle. God knows we need this now more than ever.
In fact, these days, the only place we can guarantee our kids will play freely and safely is at school. We should not accept that kids should be penned into small spaces. It is not acceptable.
Our school is a Victorian build which originally served a very small population of Busby village. Today the playground holds 300 kids YET the playground is shrinking and it's field -which has served the community for many generations- is being dug up!! All without any consultation.
We are very sad that it's come to this but if you can help by showing your support that would be amazing.

Well a very Happy New Year everyone!! Here's how December looked. Fulfilling cake orders (mostly fondant free) for friends (or lovely customers if you prefer 😍) including a 65th wedding anniversary; a very special birthday for a talented artist mum; a very loved all-knowing mum 😘as well as a very first birthday cake. I also found myself offering Christmas cake orders too. I spent some of my Christmastime caring for some delightful little cats. Also some great times with a l...ovely bunch of friends and my family.
