Delighted that The Crannog in Mallaig has made it to the final of the Structural Timber Awards in Birmingham, 10th October!Entered for the Pioneer Award. Built structurally from our Greenheart and Balau using Mortise and Tenon joints, this building has only a handful of steel bolts to keep the engineers happy! Good Luck The Crannog!!

Down at a meeting in a newly developed part of Paddington, London last week. We were delighted to see tropical timbers being used in street furniture. In a world of steel and concrete it is great to see some natural product. Wood for Good doing its job well!

We spoke with some Iwokrama scientists nearly 6 years ago about this research. Really delighted to see this now in print. Guyana (home of Greenheart and Purpleheart) very carefully manages its felling and it is incredibly important to provide facts to support this type of selective felling tropical forestry. Well done to all involved!!!

Some large sections of oak happily drying in our shed in this good weather! These lovely large oak sections are a mixture of European and Turkish Oak. We stock them in lots of various sizes from these large beams to smaller fireplace mantle sections. A really nice feature in a home or building. Splits and shakes are part of the product and as the timber dries they settle out.

Gordon and Sean both hard at work putting the finishing metalwork into some Greenheart timber! We have fine sawn and drilled these Greenheart piles for a job which is being exported to Azerbaijan.
