Went to the Gin Spa and afternoon tea in Gin71 with 4 friends and it was fab. Food was delicious and so many gins to choose from (chose a few Scottish to try 👍). They even do a children’s tea so will definitely take granddaughter. Defo be back😀

Was here as part of the gin spa package for afternoon tea was amazing one of the best we have ever had. The food was beautiful really tasty & lots of it. Doggy bag was taken home

The food was great the gin tasting was amazing and our service was great the only down side is that the menu was more expensive than what it was online the bill came through and it worked out more and her basic reply was it wasn’t updated where that shouldn’t be the customers place to check it should be fixed by the advertisement and the actual bar

The 7 course taster menu was amazing.

Lovely meal great staff. The tasting menu was on our printout at 15 pounds downloaded but we were told out of date now 25 pounds. Big increase so did not try it

Had the 7 course taster menu and accompanying wine package. Food and wine were both really good.

We arrived forty-five minutes early for our booking but this was no problem, we were promptly seated, given our choice of welcome cocktail and menus to look at while we waited for the kitchen to open up.

Staff were very friendly, attentive and knowledgable and explained each course and wine.

Kitchen opened at 5 and we left at 8 after 7 courses, coffee and a lovely gin to finish the night. The timings being served were just right, courses were not rushed but at no point did I feel we waited too long between courses.

Excellent food, wine and service.

Had a great time yesterday having a few Gina outside with friends. Got a full drink knocked over me by another customer by accident and the bar kindly replaced it for free. Will definitely be back, fantastic selection of gins and tonic �

Had a great morning bringing out my craft side, making a lamp while utilising the bottle Harris gin bottle.

Great selection of Gin, mixers and garnish with very knowledgeable staff to help you choose, there’s so many! Had a lovely time sitting outside in the sunshine.

Did the 5 course with accompanying wine.. food, wines and service was excellent.. only down side was that it was all too rushed.. would have preferred more time in between courses to at least finish wine

Booked the 7 course taster menu for my husbands birthday. He had the gin pairing and I had the wine pairing. Everything was lovely except I didn’t know the salmon would be raw. It’s not something I’m a fan of anyway so couldn’t finish this but everything else was brilliant and the service was great as well. Would highly recommend.

71+ reasons to visit



As anyone who is or has recently planned a wedding, you’ll know it can be the most stressful time of your life. Why not make it easy on yourself, and book your reception at gin71 Virginia court. That’s what we did. Along with saying ‘I do’ it was the best decision we have ever made.



From our initial meeting with the staff, to the day itself, nothing was too much hassle. Staff are friendly and receptive and willing to listen, offering their own solutions and ideas. It was almost like having our own wedding planners on board.



The Virginia court location itself is a hidden wonder. Offering a quiet change of pace from the bustling metropolis that is argyle street, on the right day it’s your own little slice of heaven. It was for us, with the sun shining and more than adequate seating outdoors, it was often remarked that we could easily have been in Italy or similar, such is the decadence on offer. Delightful scenery, clean and tidy interior and exterior, and well groomed staff are all worthy of highlight.



And so to the day itself. Having to satisfy not only a concerned groom, but 35 other guests (and a discerning 6 y/o) the staff coped admirably. The food was excellent and truly one of the highlights. All three courses were served, and the quality on offer was on a par with any haute cuisine we’ve had before.



At nighttime we had an additional 100 guests, and although taking orders and recommending drinks must have been like herding cats for the staff, they remained pleasant, courteous and attentive throughout.



Allowing us the run of the bar was an incredibly generous offer from the owner, and a very special thanks goes to Paul, Sophie, and Olivia and all staff on duty on 3rd July 2018. You made our day truly unforgettable and we will recommend you to anyone who will listen.



So why not take a bit of stress out of your wedding day, and allow Gin71 to help you with your reception? Or failing that, pop in and sample some of the food, try a few of the gins and generally indulge in one of Glasgow’s hidden gems? I assure you, you won’t regret it. The Cooper-Cairns.

The food was a bit hit and miss, but only because I’m not too adventurous. Most of it was lovely. The staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful and knowledgable about the food and drinks. My wife and myself went for the gin pairing and it was great. Never liked gin , but had my tastebuds awakened! They were amazing. Great night. Thanks guys

Popped into Gin71 Merchant City last night before dinner. It was very busy, the staff were friendly & efficient. We had the Scottish Gin Flight & the Tea Flight - they were explained by a very well informed waitress.

I received a voucher from my work for my birthday for a 7 course taster menu. Talk about underwhelming. Small portions and food was not all that impressive. A classic style over substance. Normal price is £59pp and then you have the gin or other drinks on top of that. Two out of the seven courses were enjoyable.



Service however was very good. Staff are extremely friendly and are happy to explain things to you. The gin selection is also fantastic but do remember each gin and tonic is around £8. You do receive a double measure but it's worth bearing in mind.
