This is the current holder of Glasgow’s best burger, the “banh mi fae Buckfast”. I took the lid aff it to see the amazing colours and layers of flavour, I wanted to share this with you fine social media folk. Then I thought.............

Went today for lunch, hands down one of the best food joints ive tried in the Cambuslang/rutherglen area, menu is small which works in the places favour as everything on it sounds amazing, fresh and original ideas which made it hard to pick on what to get.



Started off with the haggis and black pudding pakora, cooked to perfection and served with an amazing BBQ sauce and Asian Slaw (by far the best house slaw ive ever tried) My Girlfriend had the mac and cheese which for a starter is a huge portion, tasty but abit too much sharpe cheddar for our liking however it beats getting served pasta in a bland sauce.



Main course, Misses got the chicken Burger which was fresh, none of your frozen fillet rubbish, chicken was moist but not greasy, i had the award winning Burger with buckfast pulled pork, blown away by the taste and textures, outstanding, again both served with Asian slaw which i couldnt get enough of.



Menu is well priced considering how fresh everything taste, only small down side i would say is the metal tray the burgers are served in, anytime you cut into something the trays slipped everywhere so maybe some sort of rubber grips under the trays, also the front door likes to put up a fight when your trying to open it (wee heads up incase yur granny breaks her hip trying to enter)



Attention to detail on the plate and the decor of the premises is 10/10, we will definitely be back to sample more of the menu (wrote this review with Gordon Ramseys voice in my mind)

Went here today with my partner and son after winning a meal for two on the Smokie Trotters page and I'm so glad I did! The food was amazing! I had the Crispy Fish Tacos, my partner had the Banh Mi Fae Buckfast Burger, my son the kids Fish Goujons and we also shared a Black Pudding Pakora starter. Everything was freshly made and was on the table within 20 minutes. The portion sizes were generous, even the kids meal and all reasonably priced as well. Would definitely recommend!

We shared two starters which were tasty nachos and korean chicken, main courses ....satay chicken for me and a cheese burger for hubby were stunning....lovely drinks too. Maye a pre theatre menu for early diners is required 😊

Was at Ginger Browns for lunch today with my fussy wee maw and my sister , tried 2 starters and shared , southern fried chick and onion rings , both crispy and tasty , Mum was a bit apprehensive about menu nothing she knew lol but we talked her into satay chicken , I had odyssey burger and sister had Bahn mi fae buck fast burger lol , didn’t mind waiting for food as let starter go down and if we had a short wait it was obviously fresh .

Omg we weren’t disappointed when food came out , satay was delicious and both burgers outstanding , probably best burgers we have ever tasted. Staff was a really nice guy who was very attentive , and yes we will be back and will recommend it , thanks very much A++++

This evening was our first, but definitely not last visit. The food was great as was the service and extra brownie points for the music!!

Really impressed by the food in this place, wee bit different from your usual fare although half the menu does use buckfast in the sauce. Great choice of gin as well.

Katsu chicken was amazing , would be nice if they did a special on the board as once you've tried a few things on menu. It would be nice to have an option of a daily special , need to keep on top of their gins , as they had ran out of the one I wanted.

In for lunch today, had great meal katsu curry was the best I’ve tasted,. Great wee place with freshly cooked food and the waitress who served us was great and informative too. Keep up the good work and everyone else give this wee local business your support. �

Had been meaning to try the place since it opened when I heard the chef had won Glasgow best burger 2017... It did not disappoint! Great burger, nice staff. Will be back

Food was so tasty! We had Tempura Prawns and the Korean Chicken to start, hubby had to have Glasgow’s Best Burger and I had the Fish Tacos. Everything was cooked fresh, came out warm and tasted so good.



Neither me nor the hubby are gin drinkers but were given enough info to choose, we had a few different ones, each as nice as the last.



Would defo recommend this place. Looking forward to a visit back.

Came here for dinner after winning a meal on their Facebook competition and I’m so glad I entered! The gin was a perfect serve and the food was outstanding (the best burger title is definitely justified!) friendly and efficient service, will definitely be back. A wee hidden gem in Rutherglen!

Absolutly loved the venue and food. Used my Entertainer app for the 2-4-1 got the new surf and turf tacos a must try and will deffo be back. Staff were really attentive and good knowledge of thier gins to reccomend x

4 of us visited today and I've got to say the food was absolutely fab, we had prawn tempura, Korean fried chicken and black pudding pakoras to start and our main courses were katsu chicken, crispy fish soft tacos, wee hot bird burger and home wrecker burger. The portions were plentiful and presentation great, didn't get our servers name but she was very attentive and polite. We'll be back to try something different next time and im sure it'll be equally as good...thanks

3 of us were there on Friday night for dinner & drinks. Great food, great service and good choice of gins if that’s your drink. Don’t be put off by buckfast in the sauce with the burger, it’s doesn’t taste of buckfast. Reasonably priced, local restaurant. Would recommend.

I went yesterday at lunch time with my friend there was only us and another 2 men so a bit awkward lol x the guy who served us was lovely the gin was lovely the food mmm

I had haggis pakora but greasy my friend had a chicken burger a bit dry but I was so looking forward to it . The decor a wee bit poor but I'm going to give it another go maybe at night and hopefully better atmosphere x

Great original food and great to have something completely different from the normal stuff



I am a burger man so ideal for me

Food was lovely . Bit disappointed in drinks only a couple of us were having gin. Ran out of the bottled beer guys were wanting . Won’t put me off though will be back . Need to get in some wine &southern comfort too

Visited last night with my two friends after hearing some promising reviews. Our table was booked for 5 o’clock but by 5:45 nobody had even came to take our drink or food order (despite asking 3 times and there being only 2 other tables occupied!). Waited another 15 minutes after ordering our drinks for them to eventually say they’d ran out of the cocktails we’d ordered. The portion size of my Katsu curry was tiny (and I do usually have a small appetite!) & found the chicken to be really dry. My friend’s hot dog was also burnt! The ‘Eton Mess’ cocktails that were eventually brought to us were basically just tonic water with some leaves thrown in, not enjoyable at all & we didn’t even think there was any gin in them! I very rarely leave reviews but found the service and food at this new restaurant to be very disappointing.
