Ginger Express

DONT order from ginger express. Ive just tried to order from them. They refused to take my order because I had 20 tokens which I've received due to getting food from there in the past. The manager was very abusive and hung up on myself. When he was asked why I can't use them he just kept on repeating himself. When I rephoned to speak to the manager I had to ask a at least 10 times before he came back on the phone and was yet again very rude. Definitely won't be ordering from them again.

Ordered a meal on a Tuesday , an hour and a half later I called to find out where my food was. I was left hanging on the line,whilst there appeared to be a real carry on in the background. I was told they had a new delivery driver and they didn't know if my meal was on its way to me or not. They didn't know if the driver had his mobile but would try contacting him and .call back. After half an hour I called them and was told they couldn't get hold of the driver and were unable to say if my meal had left the shop. I cancelled the order, as it was now nearly 10pm and I was going to bed! and asked for a refund.I paid through PayPal and three weeks later have had to raise a dispute as no refund has been made.

AVOID!!! Placed an order at 19:30 on Saturday 9th. After an hour I called to find out where the order was. Was told it was on it way and that they were very busy. Called back again then to left hanging on the phone waiting for them to call their driver. Had to hang up and call back a few times. Was told they had called their driver 6 times but no reply. They did offer us to have the food for free due to the extensive wait. When the food did arrive it was not fit for eating. It was stale, cold and the box the food came in was soggy due the grease in the food. The order arrived at 9pm. The delivery service by far the worse I have ever experienced. The food I received was awful! Really bad! This could have been down to the poor delivery service however I would avoid this place in any event!

Staff was friendly the food was reasonable and tasty

I love this place I've been a regular customer for the last 7 years never had a problem with food delivery or staff always a very fast delivery and I've found the staff helpful and always big portions of food.

Salt and chill chips are amazing.(best I've had) Chicken curry was spot in too, lovely onions and chicken the sauce was tasty too .. 45 mins delivery time . The order was still hot and the juice freezing cold .

The BBQ spare ribs were really good, but the chicken chow mein was a disaster. I couldn't eat more than a few bites of the chow mein, the noodles were dry, it was too salty, and the chicken was rubbery and in a big pile on top. The only reason I didn't give them 1 star was because the BBQ spare ribs were very good.

Good food, great service. Recommend for a good chineese takeaway.

First time ordering Chinese since I moved to Edinburgh, certainly won't be ordering from here again. Portion size and delivery time could not be faulted but the food was AWFUL! The satay sauce was off colour and both greasy and water and the chicken has absolutely no taste at all. Couldn't eat more than 2 bites, just threw it in the bin. Avoid at all costs
