Pietro Fauno Finizio is an electric bass and double bass player, composer and music teacher in Glasgow, UK.

Born in Milan, Italy, he approached music in 2000 and since then he has taken part in numerous bands and collaborations, exploring genres such as '60s and '70s Rock and Hard Rock, international Pop, Blues, Funky, Jazz and Swing.

As a band member and session player, he has been in Jazz combos (including orchestras), function bands, cabaret projects and has supported emerging and independent artists performing original music in jazz clubs, theatres, ballrooms and at popular festivals in Italy and the UK.

After attending private lessons for several years, in 2007, Pietro took up the Jazz Course at "Civica Scuola di Musica Claudio Abbado" in Milan, which he graduated from in 2012.

Here he had the chance to meet and become student of some of the finest jazz musicians in Italy, including Lucio Terzano, Marco Vaggi, Franco Cerri, Gabriele Comeglio, Mario Rusca, Fabio Jegher and Giulio Visibelli.

After graduating he has attended masterclasses, workshops and /or private lessons held by Chick Corea, Larry Schneider, Dave Liebman, Roberto Occhipinti, Lucio Terzano, Marco Vaggi, Massimo Moriconi, Roberto Panetta and Nigel Thomas.

Since 2007 Pietro teaches electric bass and double bass, theory and jazz harmony and acts as tutor for bands, privately and in schools, enjoying this activity as a means to improve his own musicianship and communication skills.

Since 2014 he lives in the UK where he teaches and performs in East Sussex with local Swing, Jazz and Blues artists; in 2017 he is being offered a place to study at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow which he will enroll in in Autumn of the same year.

Pietro Fauno Finizio is currently based in Glasgow where he teaches, performs and also works on his own compositions.
