More information from the Scottish Government about the 6% superannuation expense. Not the good news I was hoping for. Looks like there’s a bit of a squabble between UK and Scottish government about the funding. Not sure what a SLWG will do...

We are concerned about the reporting of GPs’ pay in the Herald today. The figures are misleading, out of date, and do not reflect the reality facing GPs.
NHS Digital’s report on GP earnings and expenses released in September 2017 showed that Scottish GP contractors faced a 2.5% pay cut in 2015/16 and that Scottish GPs are the lowest paid compared to our colleagues in the other 3 nations.
The report showed that in 2015/16 average NHS income before tax for Scottish GP contract...ors was £89,500 compared to £91,800 in 2014/15 a decrease of 2.5%. For the same period in 2015/16, the average income for GP contractors before tax in England was £104,900; Wales was £93,400; Northern Ireland was £92,000.
This is happening at a time of unprecedented demand and pressure on general practices. The profession is facing recruitment difficulties, further squeezes on practice incomes, practices closing, and GPs struggling to meet the increasingly complex care needs and demands of their patients.
That is the real story.
