Small. Quick. Convenient. Never any hassles. Just wish there were more airlines using it to provide more flights from here... although that might be a double edged sword as it is good because it's not so busy?!!

I was wandering through the Nuance shop and idly examining the whisky. I found some bottles I hadn't expected to find and asked the gentleman working there (Aaron, I think; I apologise if I've spelled it wrong) some questions about them. He was happy to help me with the information I needed. Sadly, I wasn't flying back into Prestwick so I slunk off, morose.

Over a pint I started to think of methods to get my drams without coming back down to Prestwick. So I went back and forth to the team in the shop. All my cunning plans were to no avail, but no matter how many times I went back with a tweak, I was happily helped by everyone I dealt with.

In the end, I bought the whiskies and came back to Prestwick once home. Even then, the service at the information desk to pick up my goods was friendly and very helpful, beyond what I would have expected. The after-sales service from the Nuance team was also unexpected and gratefully received.

Thank you for turning my frown upside down and I look forward to my next flight out of Prestwick due to all your efforts.

User

Great experience! Handy car parks, friendly helpful people for security, nice duty free shop, plenty seats, handy cafe. But the main points......no flight delays, boarded and got away sharp to Malta and arrived there 15mins early. Same in return, flight on time and into Glasgow Prestwick 20mins ahead of time last night. Border Security had 3 officers efficiently dealing with our plane load. Within 15 minutes of touch down we had cleared security, had a toilet stop, got car out of car park and were on the way home! (We only had carry on luggage). Well done Ryanair and Glasgow Prestwick, you will always be our first choice to travel.

User

What a cosy little airport this is, we were there on the 24th November 2017 flying with Ryan air at 06:20, all the airport staff were very cheerful. Just enough shops for me (I'm not keen on the huge airports with hundreds of shops). The reason I knocked a star off the review was because I bought a bacon sandwich for £5.50 it contained 2 small slices of bacon which were cold!. A very pleasant airport

User

The airport and staff are fantastic, sadly the catering team let you down. How they manage to ruin breakfast at 5 in the morning is beyond me. Egg overcooked, sausage undercooked and everything cold. Asked for another egg and was told it would take 5 minutes! Don't mind paying £20 for 2 breakfasts but please give us some quality.

User

Friendly and helpful staff. The prices for coffee and snacks are way over the top even if only compared with other airports

User

The limited staff I dealt with were polite and competent however the airport itself I found to be lacking! The restaurant was unsure if they were serving food ie, "the kitchen is closed.". This was at 1 O'Clock on a Friday afternoon. Then just as sudden "the kitchen is now open". Very strange! Out of the 10 or so activities that were located there only 3 actually worked! One machine that offered a prize to the kid for getting certain score would not pay out thus, 1 upset kid.

Admittedly none of these things would probably stop me from using Prestwick however if I had a choice ???

User

It was ok but my complaint is that I had a hard case suit case and when I retrieved it from the pick up area the case was burst and the wheel was broken , baggage handlers obviously not caring about people's positions and just throwing them about like pieces of rubbish

User

When our five friends passed the customs security check visa at the airport to Glasgow,we also felt that we had suffered racial discrimination from the customs officer sitting at the 4th window! The time is about 21.30pm on August 5. The flight is from ibiza back to Glasgow. The specific reason is: because only five of us need to fill in the UK Border Agency Landing card,When the line reaches us,The passenger who held the UK/ The EU passport person will first takevisa check. To some extent, I can think that this behavior is unintentional. However,When the woman checks four person who hold UK/EU passport. It means that two customs officers have already checked eight people at this time, and then it is the turn to check visa the person who does not hold the EU/UK passport. We all feel that we have received an insult... I don't understand whether customs officers’ behavior about visa check according to any regulations. If there are so many people who do not hold EU/UK passports waiting for the visa check.will she do the same behavior ?

User

This poor airport really feels like it is on its last legs. It has shrunk over the years and I think calling it international is a stretch. I remember seeing my gran off to Canada and my kids were brought up watching concorde train on its tremendous runways. With foreign travel such a big thing now where is Prestwicks place?

User

Airport it’s self I can fault but waiting over half an hour for food is in acceptable! When we asked staff about it they said their reader wasn’t working so no orders went through!

User

The worst breakfast me and my friend have ever had. 6 quid for undercooked cheap bacon that was mainly fat and deep fried square sausages that were soft and squishy in the middle. All of this between two floppy bits of white bread, no butter. It was so disgusting we couldn't eat it. We would have complained but after waiting nearly an hour for it, it was served to us literally 5 mins before our gate closed.

£6 for frozen rubbish?? The cheek! Sort it out!!

User

Shocking service! 40 mins for a cold plate of food. Apparently the toast had broken so my daughter had to make do with two sorry slices of bread. No apologies or exchanges/refunds. We didn’t even receive the toast / bread we had paid for! £32 for cold food! Do yourself a favour eat before you arrive!!!!

User

Nipped in to Starbucks In the Airport today to try and get a present. No member of staff on as she was out having a cigarette. Then she took that long to try and find the code to input into the till or whatever it was she was doing. Then we tried to buy a gift card but she couldn’t get it to work. That’s because she needed to activate it first. So we ended up having to pay £3.50 for parking as she took so long when we were just nipping in and out.

User

I would like to complain about the services we have received from Glasgow Prestwick Airport this morning (26/10/17, 11:05 Flight to Malta). I was part of a group of four musicians. We bought two extra item seats for two guitars and a cymbal case. No hassle was caused in other airports, but at the boarding gate, we were treated in a severe manner, and we were told we had to buy yet another seat. My friend who had the cymbal case was going to be taken alone, even though she was underage and I was her guardian. We were bullied, and threatened that if we don't pay the sixty pounds they would make sure that we miss our flight. We were repeatedly told to shut up until we were forced to pay. When we were about to board the plane, the persons taking care of the luggage told us that we were ripped off and that we should file a complaint, since there was space for the cymbal case to be on board. Overall a very disappointing and worrying event, that warded us from using the services of this airport again.

User

I had one of the worst food experiences ever in an airport - or any other - restaurant last week whilst travelling from Glasgow to Malaga. A cooked then warmed burger from the bar was hot in the middle but old and rubbery around the edges.

Although, I have been assured that this was just bad luck ! on my part and that appropriate protocols were being followed. I can’t believe this is a one-off incident. How, if the burger was being held post cooking in a warmer, did the temperature vary so greatly. Also, the texture would suggest overlooking, dehydration and poor quality of product. It was disgusting.

I was given a no quibble refund. Fine. But what if I’d eaten it, what if I’d got sick as a result. I don’t need reassurance that all is fine. I need to know you will address and change the processes .

Has anyone had similar experiences?.

User

First of all a 2 and a half hour delay then minutes before gate is due to open flight gets cancelled. Not enough staff to deal with all the customers wanting flights changed, people queueing for hours. Door alarm went off everyone was too busy to deal with it. Now we can't get a flight so lost out on our break away, also most of the machines in the Sarbucks were broken. Overall a totally disappointing day which was stressful and left us feeling really let down.

User

Don’t deserve any stars. Arrived in Pisa to no luggage. At least 30 passengers stranded without cases. The baggage handlers had one job to do.

No one is advising or helping us.

User

Checked it at 5.30pm for 8.25 flight. Only bar already closed! Told had to go through security and bar is open. No use if you smoke as once through no smoking!. Surely the bar could stay open till perhaps an hour before last flight leaves. Obviously custom not a priority.
